Fantastic!!!! This review is long overdue. I apologize to all of the wonderful, helpful people at Precision Sewing for taking so long to write this review. This was my first experience with them, but not my last, by any means! The following took place about 2 months ago: After my sewing machine broke down in the middle of an important project (isnt that when they always break?) I was on the verge of tears. I really didnt think I could afford to purchase a new machine at the moment, and they didnt make my old model anymore, so I had no idea what machine Id want to buy anyway. After much searching, I happened upon Precision Sewing, a well-supplied, family-run sewing shop, not too far from where I lived. I figured that Id go take a look at the machines, get an idea of how much they cost these days, and then go home empty handed and cry. Imagine my delight when, upon entering the store, I spied a fully equipped repair shop! I made a beeline for it and began to explain my dilemma to the technician. He quickly assured me that if it was fixable, he could fix it, and asked me to bring it by the following day. I did as promised and dropped it off on May 9th. On my way out, I decided to look at the embroidery machines. It was hard to ignore them, as there were several ladies gathered around and demonstrating them in the front window. Id been wanting to add embroidery to my repertoire, and they had so many different ones, I didnt know where to start. A very sweet sales associate patiently explained the features of each machine, and helped me decide which would work best for what I had in mind, as well as my budget. There were even sewing/embroidery machine combos, which would eliminate the need for 2 separate machines. The one I liked the most was a little out of my budget at the moment, but I soon found out that they also offered financing! Not only that, but the owner himself came out on the sales floor and said that instead of repairing my machine, I could just trade it in toward the purchase of the new machine! So, much to my surprise, I wound up walking out of there with my new sewing/embroidery machine and an appointment with the instructor (yes, they also offer classes!!!) for my much needed, and best of all, FREE lessons on how to use my machine. I will definitely be shopping here often and recommend it to all of my crafty friends. A+!

I brought my machine in to have repairs because my usual place could not meet my timeline. Not only did I drive 30 minutes out of my way but I paid double of what I would normally pay. They "maintenance" my machine in a timely manor and when I went in to pick it up the owner tried to convince me to buy a bigger and better machine. When I told him I didnt have the money to do it right then and didnt want to finance he went on to tell me his repair man noticed my machine hadnt been worked on in a while and thats when he came to the conclusion that I didnt have much money and to go ahead and do extra things to it. That, first of all, is VERY rude to tell a customer "I could tell you dont have much money" and second I would love to know what extra they did because they sure didnt oil the machine which is considered to be regular maintenance, as it still squeaks, and the main problem I had was the tension, which is EVEN WORSE than it was when I brought it in. Rather than trust these people with my machine for a second time I will be bringing it in to Allbrands for repair, something I should have done in the first place. Never will I step foot in this place again, and when I am ready to buy a multineedle I will be going to Allbrands.

I ordered an embroidery hoop from Sammy. When I tried to return it this is the response I received word for word - copied and pasted. I dont know how hes running a business like this. All I did was ask to return something - thats it. :Ok then you can send it back pay the shipping, and I will take it back and what ever the freight was to ship to you then you can pay that to. I will credit the balance. That way I do not need to pay for a stupid mistake that you made . You order it and expect my company should pay for your error. Now you think about it. do you run a business that can just take thing back and eat all the cost for freight? Sorry I told you about this special order. Then you say you do not or will not order again shame on you. I told you a would give a the best price anytime you needed anything. Some people you can never make happy. Let me know now what you want to do. This will amount to about 6 dollars when you figure it out what the freight is. Quit crying and let get this over with.I will write a bad review about you if you do it to me I promise I know how. Thanks" - sewingmachineoutlet

I normally try and stay positive, so I will say the lady that briefly spoke to me was very nice and friendly... Thats about the only positive thing I can come up with....I drove 2 hours to this store because I called and asked how much they would charge me to look at my serger. I was told nothing. So I drove over, excited to finally have my serger looked at. I get there walked in and wow....I was told 139 to service it. I told gin I didnt want it serviced just looked at first so I know what is wrong with it. He said I wont touch it without servicing it. OK, so I was told when I called that it would cost nothing ri have it looked at....long story short, I explained to him that I only paid 199 for it and before I pay 139 plus what ever he wanted to charge me to fix it I could just go buy another one, and then was told to "be quiet and listen, dont say another word and he went in to say how Hancocks is just giving stuff away and just because I paid that for it that his work is worth more"..... And on and on. Well after that I took my machine and left. Im sorry I dont think thats good customer service.

I bought this Janome 9500 from Precision Sewing Machine Co. They did not give any demo told me if I follow the CD it explains in detail. The CD only works if you have QuickTime installed in the computer, which I could not play even after installing the QuickTime. I could never figure out the actual embroidery and monogram part. I tried to teach myself through manual book but it is really frustrating. It has been sitting in my closet for years. Regret buying this machine very complicated.
