This is a best buy in a small town. No matter how you paint it, destin is not a very big place. So what can you expect? Looks like you can expect lots of ignorant reviews. You can tell the caliber of most of the negative reviewers by the poor language used, spelling errors(in a time when our smartphones spell everything for us), and attempts to appear educated using words they obviously arent sure of. Not to mention blanketing all best buys with the single negative experience at one location. I dont know which review I laughed at more, the lady claiming there are snobby salesmen in pink shirts at best buy(everyone knows they all wear the same blue shirt and there are no salesmen as they make no commission) or the one where someone felt like they always have to argue with the CSRs(customer service reps in case my abbreviation was over your head) because theyre asked the opinion on something but the reviewer doesnt agree with the CSRs opinion. I have had nothing but great experiences with this location! Got a free tv once. Its a pos tv but it was free! My Mac needed an overhaul and they were professional enough to admit it may be beyond the capabilities of their geeks and may need to be sent to Birmingham to Apple. Wasnt the case after all and I have a brand new Mac(inside) at an unbelievable price. Give these guys some slack and credit! MIT graduate geeks, dont work at best buy, certainly not in destin! And if they do theyre allowed to be a bit snobby! These guys make minimum wage, maybe slightly more and are just trying to help you make an educated purchase no matter what YOU decide to buy! If you walk out with the wrong camera, you paid for it and walked out with it, if it was wrong, its your fault! I dont work for best buy, I am a snobby salesman and I say all but one of these 1&2 star reviewers should keep shopping at Freds (where the stuff too old or crappy from Walmart goes before the dumpster). P.S. They always answer the phone when I call. And within three rings!

Horrible experience with them. We bought our child a computer. 3 months later it had problems. Geek squad tried to force me to pay for the repair even though I bought their warranty. The staff was rude and talked badly about their managers refusing them breaks, lunch, or dinners but the manager got to leave for an hour for dinner. The manager at Best Buy did nothing. They only returned half of the money they agreed to return since they refused us our help and we never did learn how to find this anti virus that we dont see that we were suppose to have. Horrible staff upset my child, my family in general. Now they wont stop harassing me by constantly emailing us. We want no contact with this company they have been asked numerous times to stop all contact. I will be filing another complaint today about how they are now emailing me in the middle of the night. They wont properly apologize or make it right with us. When the top guy from best buy called us he was just as rude as the staff. Now we see why the staff is so rude with people like that in charge condoning the behavior. The problem is the managers in charge dont care how people are treated. They treat just as badly as their staff does. There was one nice young man there who did his job. Only one out of all the staff. To that man we saw you and appreciate you. To the rest of the staff. YOU SUCK!

Obviously dont need my review with the reviews on here to show how bad the customer service is... I bought a phone a few months ago on my Best Buy credit card stuck my SIM card in it and it said locked and locked my whole SIM card so when I put it back in my other phone it still didnt work.. I had to take it to verizon and get a new SIM card and they said the iPhone was locked. I live in North Crestview and work almost every day of the week and didnt have time to take it back but I finally slowed down at work. Living so far away I called the Destin store before driving that far to make sure I could return it without the receipt. They said yes I could seeing how I never got to use a phone a spend $180 on. So I drove all the way to Destin for them to tell me no they wouldnt take it back but I could trade it in. After telling them I talked to someone on the phone and they said they would return it they said well do you know who you talked to. So I replied no because even if they told me their name I wouldnt be able to remember it didnt think I would have to. The managers reply was well I dont know what to tell you we cant take it back heres the general store managers number and email. So I left and emailed the general store manager and have yet to get a reply 2 days later... goes to show how much they care about their customers. I will not buy from them ever again...

So I got an iPhone, and of course it was a dud and broke on me. Anyway I go into the store to try and get some help with a warranty claim. This guy from geek squad come up and asks to look at it, he fiddles with it for a little bit because his 3 week course in electronics gives him so much more knowledge than me. So after about two minutes he decides "yeah it is broken". Thanks Einstein.. So I ask to if I can get a warranty claim. Of course there is nothing he can do. At this point Im asking myself "what exactly do you do here??" He gets on his computer and pulls up the number for Apple and hands it to me says call these people, it will take about 45 min to do the claim. AWSOME just what I wanted to do. I ask "can you help me through the process, since you are authorized AT&T retailer" I figure they can help because oh I dont know, YOU sell iPhones!!!! Nope there is nothing they can do. So as Im on my way out, just to rub salt in the wound some guy try a windows sales pitch on me. Dude I just dropped some $$$ on a new phone what on Gods green earth even remotely makes you think I want to buy a new phone. Thanks Best Buy for encouraging me to throw more money at my problems.

Terrible customer service. After calling TWICE to see if the Geek squad would be able to give me estimates to repair my electronics because of lightening damage I was told to bring the items into the Pcola store. So I unloaded all of my home electronics into shopping carts to take to the Geek squad to see if they could repair them or give estimates. The snotty noise customer service rep took one look at my shopping carts full of electronics and said none of this stuff would be cost effective to fix. Im thinking shouldnt that be my decision. Maybe it looked like junk to him but it was all of my household electronics. After pretty much blowing me off, I asked to speak with a manager. Once the manger came over I told him about his customer service rep and his bad attitude at the geek squad station. After the manager returned, the customer service rep was a little more friendlier but still had the bad attitude. I left 3 items and took the rest of my stuff back with me. I wont ever do that again, or purchase anything from that place. It seemed like the only time they wanted to help me was when they thought I was going to purchase new items from the store. Nott!!!
