Kens has hundreds of electronics parts. They have had the parts I needed almost every time I have needed them. The problem is, sometimes they do not have them. The only way to find out if they have the parts is to call first. This is where I end up having trouble. Ken is a complete and total "a__h___." His customer service over the phone is the worst i have ever experienced in my lifetime. It is so bad that I cringe at the idea of ever calling again. (This was not a one time event. I have called more then a dozen times with the same poor service.) Best bet with this place is to hope they have the item in stock and just drive out there. You are better off wasting a trip, then talking on the phone... Better yet, just go online and order your parts from someone else if you can wait on the shipping.

Well, Ive been to Kens a few times and hes always had what I wanted. Hes the only place you can get electronics parts in the area since Radio Shack has been reduced to a camera and cell phone store. His way of doing business is a throwback to the 1970s but he does have a lot of hard to find stuff. Sure, you can find most of it online but it means shipping and waiting. Unfortunately, hes not motivated to run the store like a real walk in business. Ive never called ahead but since I go by there frequently for other purposes I just drop in. I agree his website is very outdated. There is no real online ordering process with a cart and order format. He could probably do well if he hired some young whipper snapper to come in and setup an eBay "Buy It Now" store.

I wouldnt even give this guy one star if not for the fact I have to in order to post a comment. I ordered a phonograph needle from Ken. After 6 weeks of waiting (and 3 follow up phone calls to check the status) he still had not processed or fulfilled the order. This was my first order with Ken and he didnt seem all that interested in having a new customer. So today when I called to cancel the order he tells me that my order is (conveniently) on top of his pile and is the next one hes going to take care of. Right... Sorry, but after 6 weeks of hearing hell take care of it I wasnt going to fall for that again. It is a good thing I dont run my business the way Ken does or I would not have any customers left. Very disappointed!

I called Kens electronics to order a part because their website was so outdated. They were closed, but to my surprise Ken called me back first thing Monday morning. He said he saw me on caller ID, and once i started to try and order he said the best way to order was online... HA!!! What a joke. He has the audacity to call me back, and then tells me he doesnt want to help. I will keep it short, because it seems like everyone else has had the same experiences... After doing a little research I realized that Kens is not really a "goldmine." You can find everything he sells with a little Google help for a better price. Dont waste your time with this guy, he is clearly out of touch, and has not learned how to run a business.

So I have been doing business with ken for over 3 years now, ken is a genius when it come to electronics and he has helped me design many innovative circuits that blew the minds of the electrical engineers I showed them to. As a response to the other posters about rudeness and what-not from ken and his crew, keep in mind that Ken is also a bee keeper and his personality is best suited for that work sure his personality can be a bit hard to handle at first but if you take the time and have the patience to get to know him he will open up and you will realize that the "Gold Mine" of kens electronic is Ken himself.

Got the rubber drive belt ordered online in 4 days. At first I was little concerned because, from my reading of the webpage , I expected an email acknowledgement 2 days after placing the order. On the 4th day after placing the order I was starting to think about contacting him when the belt arrived in the mail, yipee! I guess the communication could have been slightly better, but I was quite pleased with the service and would be happy to buy from himagain

I was searching for some very obscure drive belts for an electronic organ I was restoring. Ken spent a lot of time with me pouring over his inventory and records trying to find the right belt. He could not locate it, but I was sincerely appreciative, because Ken put me on the right track for finding what I needed. I just ordered some other obscure items now. Hes a wealth of knowledge and has so many hard to find parts these days!

Terrible buying experience. Staff was rude and condescending. They made me feel stupid for being ignorant and insulted me. Their competition is much nicer, more helpful and have better prices. They require a credit card before they will help you. Im guessing this is their way of weeding out the tire kickers. Dont know but I will never shop there again. Too many other options that are not rude to customers.

Fast and reliable, I have a Fender Guitar and Bass Amp that needed repair, unfortunately the parts were unavailable from the manufacture but I found them at Kens! I placed my order on line and the parts were shipped out that day! This place is a gold mine but dealing with Ken and his oddities over the phone is a lesson in humility!!!!!! He has the WORST phone manners ive ever seen! Like the previous poster said the best thing to do is drive upo there and deal with him on a one to one basis even if he is odd...

I went to Kens Electronics after reading the 5 other reviews. He was very nice and helpful. He has a huge selection and he has very reasonable prices. I will be a returning to his store anytime i need components.
