I usual buy many items from the Jax in Fort Collins and started renting kayaks and paddle boards from them frequently. This weekend I made the mistake of going to the Loveland Jax store to rent (2) paddle boards since the Fort Collins location only had (1) available. It turns out one of the ones we received form them did not have the cap with it and would not hold air. When we returned both of them to the store we informed the guy checking us back in of this issue and he just simply stated "It doesnt need the cap to hold air ", so I explained we adjusted the valve as well but it still would not hold any air in which he simply replied, "Well it should have". His attitude was very smug along with the other guy who took the boards back, he was the one who checked it before we left as well. They did not offer any refund. Along with this the boards were still wet within the carrying back backs when we received them so they must not actually check these out well before they offer them up for rent. I will no longer purchase or rent anything from either Jax stores and will take my business else where form now on. The Fort Collins Jax employees are more professional and friendly than the Loveland store employees so if you must go there avoid the Loveland Jax store.

Disliked: Super knowledgable staff in the photography/optics. The staff is trained by management to sell HIGH-END camera lenses that have been handled by customers, even used by customers in the store. Who knows whos mits have been all over it. The staff felt bad, but they still were going to sell me a lens, and they even went as far as sending me away so they could pack up the FILTHY display model lens while i was not watching. Kinda shady if you ask me. I was returning a lens for a better one, and they were inspecting the one i was returning... when it dawned on me. I think i oughtta check out this lens I am buying that is double the price... So I did, and the ring was filthy, finger prints inside and out... What a joke. It worries me too because I purchased an expensive DSLR camera from them along with other lenses. Slightly unnerving feeling I have about my equipment now. Great staff, go there to ask them questions, but be careful about buying their equipment.

JAX > Cabellas or Bass Pro. By Far. I love these stores. Great selection. Friendly and helpful staff. That being said I was checking out firearms one day and the guy helping me had little or no firearm safety on his mind. Hed get handguns out of the case WITH his finger on the trigger. Pick them up from the showcase with his finger on the trigger... He didnt really even try not flagging people with the muzzle. I know youre in a store with lots of people, but if you cant help but point it at the people youre helping, that are standing right in front of you, then maybe you should be in a different part of the store helping. I know the guns are "unloaded," but bad gun safety is bad gun safety. Treat every gun as if it were loaded. Period. Id hate to think how this guy handles his guns at the range or at home.

I am a person who highly enjoys quality products. It is why I shop at places that sell expensive things. That being said, when I spend a lot of money in a place I expect top customer service. Today while shopping at Jax I had the same employees ask me if they could help me so many times it was as if I was a known shop lifter. I eventually gave the response "no thank you , I am good. I am just looking for pokemon" and continued walking. The employees then all gathered behind a rack right by me and started making fun of me. I preceeded to put back the $120 solar charger, the $70 sweatpants and the $20 dog toy that I was about to buy. Congrats guys. You get off calling someone a loser, and I dont spend money at a store that hires douche bags. Win win.

My new favorite ranch/home store. From the jelly bellies, to the coffee bar and gourmet shop to the equine supplies, this Jax store is tops. I needed a gift fast. Dropped by Jax, bought a basket (very reasonably priced under $10) and with the help of their friendly staff, proceeded to fill it with an assortment of Colorado edible goodies like "dinosaur eggs" , homemade fudge, specialty popcorn, and on and on. Jax also carries the feed I need for my sensitive horses, fly spray, etc., and the casual but nice clothes I like for myself. Got some great wardrobe pieces for my vacation, that were even on sale. There is nothing that I dont like about this store-nice stuff, nice prices, nice staff.

So I called Jax because I wanted a conceal and carry holster and they directed me to the firearms I talked to one of the guys at the firearms and asked him if he had a specific model he said yes I asked him again if he had this model and he said yeah we have both right and left handed so I Drive 30 minutes to Jax and they dont have the one Im looking for even though the guy told me that they did and after getting there and them not having it the guy that I talk to on the phone about the holster completely ignores me and sits there on the phone and doesnt help me. talk about incompetent people

Walked around inn the store looking for a lunch box. Walked by many employees standing around talking to other employees and ignoring customers. I finally had someone greet me and showed me what they had. At the register I stood there waiting for the cashier yup finish her conversation with the customer. The cashier them checked me out. Not a word! After paying, not a word. No thank you, nothing. Not the first time this has happened. I would like to shop at small businesses and not the giant company stores but I will not be back in JAX.

We had a electric gate opener that would not work on Sunday. Went in and the manager on duty helped us, he opened another box and sent it back with me, Got it installed and works great. He did not hesitate to help. They went way beyond for us. We did find the same gate opener online for less money. We wanted to shop locally in case we had a problem.Guess what !We did and JAX in Loveland went way above any of our expectations to help! Big Thank you, Always shop local. Go see them they are the best!!!!!! Shop Jax in Loveland Colo we are!

I used to like Jax. I am an avid hunter and fisherman. Called in to find out how much for a person to person firearm transfer. $46........are you kidding! $10 for the transfer, $6 for the background check and $30 for some ridiculous admin fee. Nope, nope, nope. There are plenty of establishments in the immediate area that does this entire process for $16.
