It would seem that Babies R Us definitly markets themselves as a company to register at and a company that can accomodate all of your needs. One stop shopping, right? My sister did a registry at this location and it was supposed to work perfect as most of the family is up North or in Conneticut! WRONG!!! I purchased items from the registry at the Salinas location (another joke) and gave the cashier the registry list to scan as she rang up my items. 1st PROBLEM: The items never appeared on the registry - which in this case is huge as most of us are buying online or out of town. 2nd PROBLEM: I called this Oxnard store to resolve the issue and waited on hold for THIRTY minutes. Not a problem so that we can resolve this issue and possibly save time trying to return gifts that are duplicated. 3rd PROBLEM: A week after I called the issue was still not fixed, figured I would wait a bit so that the company had ample time to resolve the issue. 4th PROBLEM: A month later- NOT FIXED and I just called the Oxnard store to talk to someone about this registry again AND I was told that they did not have enough Sales Associates to accomodate the registry and that I would have to call back!!! WHAT???? Seriously, have the rough economic times pushed large chain stores such as Babies R Us to these levels. Either they can not hire competent staff, they can not hire educated IT people to manage the websites or they just cant hire enough staff!!! I would definitly shop at ANY other store than this store. I was once a big customer with children of my own and actually did my baby registry there. Burlington Coat Factory has a Baby Depot and they probably have the same stuff - between that and Target I would go anywhere but this store!!!

THANKS TO THE MANAGER FOR ACCUSING ME A" MAN" IN A BABY STORE OF STEALING WHEN WE WERE JUST RETURNING GIFTS FROM OUR BABY SHOWER AND OF COURSE HAD "NO BAGS" IF THERE WERE BIGGER CAPITAL LETTERS I WOULD BE USING THEM ,,,,I FELT SO EMBARRASSED AS SHE ASK ME IF I WAS GOING TO PAY FOR THE ITEMS AND GRABBED MY BASKET FULL OF OUR GIFTS SHE AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE CAME AFTER ME LIKE SECURITY ASKING FOR ME TO PAY FOR THE ITEM OR SHOW A RECEIPT THEN AS SHE REALIZED SHE MADE A MISTAKE SHE TRIED TO BE NICE AND COMPLIMENT MY SON ON HIS STAR WARS BEANIE AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO SAY (LET ME HELP YOU WITH YOUR BASKET TO THE REGISTER WORST STORE EVER,EVEN WORSE THE MANAGEMENT NEEDS TRAINING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE SO THEY CAN LEAD BY EXAMPLE !!! Brandon put a $600 dollar order for a baby crib l picked for my baby and we purchased a total of more than $1000 that day we came home and measured the babies room and noticed the babies crib wouldnt fit so 3 days later we drove back to Oxnard to find a different bed that would fit and the STORE MANAGER lady treated my husband like a thief with such Rudeness than my husband showed her our RECEIPT we purchased with cash. she didnt apologize and continued to tell my husband that they cannot give back cash even when we paid with cash and had a RECEIPT that she can only give us a Gift Card only, but we didnt want money back we wanted to get a different bed so to sum it up this was a very Unprofessional Customer Service she provided us and made us feel, and They Need to Educate this STORE MANAGER or FIRE HER AND FIND SOMEONE PROFESSIONAL as I will NEVER GO INTO THIS STORE EVER AGAIN AND WILL LET ALL OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!

I will never shop at babies r us again!!! I have always shop there since my little one was born (currently 6 months) and never really had I encounter a problem but today was a different story. The manager Debbie was extremely RUDE. My little one only takes similac ready to feed formula and I have always have done price match. I usually buy approximately 6 formulas at a time and never had a problem with price matching all of them. Debbie said that they only do 2 items. I told her that no one has ever mentioned that to me and that I have always purchased and price match all items. I do not mind her notifying me of the policy, what bothered me is the fact that she had the nerve to tell me how long she has worked there and that the policy has always been the same, obviously she does not do a good job at notifying her staff to inform the customers, further more, the fact that she gave me an attitude. No wonder this babies r us has poor reviews.

This store has a wide range of items available for purchase that makes it easy to make this a one stop shopping trip. However, many of their items are way overpriced and cheaper to purchase at other competitor stores. Yet, they have a decent section of clearance clothes that are worth checking out and that you can get at excellent prices. They do have a nursing room, but there is no lock on the door so anyone can simply walk in and that can make it uncomfortable. Their restrooms always seem to be dirty and there is never anyone at the register so you always have to make your purchases at the customer service counter, which is annoying because you can be stuck behind a person making a complicated return/exchange. There is always ample parking available and they even have designated "Expecting Mother" parking spaces which is great!

Bad customer service at all levels. Wont accept returns on any item not bought from your registry or without a receipt, even if its their item, they carry it, and you have a registry with them! I also had to help them find items on our registry, since they couldnt connect the dots. Shipping department is worse. They forgot to have furniture shipped to us for two months, though it was sitting in their office. We ordered two related items later on, and went down to pick them up. They gave us one, said "heres your stuff", and didnt give us the other. Another drive to Oxnard is required now... This trip will be the last, and thatll be the happiest moment weve had with Babys R Us. The Oxnard store is incompentently run.

Couldnt agree more with the other reviewers. Manager wouldnt honor an advertisement that she admitted was incorrect. She just said she would let corporate know and there was nothing she could do. Bathrooms are the pits and so many restrictions on all their "deals" that you actually cant use any of them. I would rather pay 25% more to support a local shop than have to go here again.
