One stop shop for everything metaphysical. You walk in, and youre immediately at home. Tom with his amazing book recommendations, Kyle with her insights and guidance, Mela with her warm, inviting, beautiful smile and massage services, Matt with his VAST knowledge on herbs and history.... And Liz, the magickal herbalist with her vast and endless herb knowledge and wall. I could spend an entire day in this shop, and I look forward to stopping in on Saturdays to sit with Carol for a timeline reading. If youre curious, just ask! Theres no judgement, and they will welcome conversation with open arms. Oh! And their jewelry selection?? Sterling silver rings with crystals, stones, and beautiful designs at an affordable price. Super durable and the aesthetics are enchanting. The best local shop in Minneapolis, something for everyone!

Magus has been a cornerstone of the NeoPagan and magical communities in the Twin Cities for decades! I have known so many of the staff, here, over the years. They and their wide range of books helped me as I explored Wicca. I was able to learn about other paths, as well. They sell well-curated herbs, very fine incense, and a wide variety of needs for a wide variety of different peoples and paths who make Magus the center of their studies and experiences. Roger is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable people in the metaphysical community. If it werent for him, I probably would have been too confused to get much out my studies. He has always been good in assisting people and showing both patience and encouragement for their studies.

Im an atheist and I respect the people who work heres beliefs and I find it interesting and adventurous to come explore this store. The people who work here are friendly and nice, and the sign that says, "Shoplifters will be ritually cursed with a hex.", is funny and awesome. This store is very unique and I find it enchanting to explore a store like this. I dont believe in derogatory stereotypes towards good honest people like the nice wiccans that work here.

I absolutely love magus. Cant get enough of this store. Herbs, spices, books, incense, crystals, pendants, etc. So many amazing things. Its located around the u of m and there are good restaurants and shops around the area. Magus also holds classes. I went to a chakra class one night and I learned a lot. You can get your tarot cards read too. This place is number one for witchery items and spiritual buys. Definitely wish I lived closer to here!

Very cool pagan book and herb shop! I went there with a friend who got a Thoth tarot deck, after being given wonderful service and recommendations by the staff. Some very cool collections of books and candles there. I was approached by a staff member and told them that I had a wish list on Amazon, but that I knew Amazon was the devil and wanted to shop local. Staff member replied "ah yes, theyre convenient. But the devil would be convenient."

Stuff is alright, interesting selection. One problem with the place is the amount of disrespect for the cultures theyre stealing from and making money off of. General lack of knowledge about these cultures outside of "this looks vaguely cool". Just my opinion, as I still go to get minerals and herbs, but Id like it a lot better if they at least had knowledge of these cultures

I love Magus! Great store for metaphysical/occult books and a huge selection of teas and herbs. I go here regularly to restock my supply of red ginseng, passionflower, and kratom, and to peruse their selection of incense. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly, too. If you are ever looking for a particular herb, chances are Magus will have it.

I LOVE this store! Started going here five years ago and keep going back. They offer a wide variety of herbs, books, classes, and more. Plan on spending an hour minimum just checking things out. Would recommend to everyone visit this store at least once in their lifetime. We stopped by Sunday and the staff is still the best- friendly and knowledgeable!

Wonderful aura overall in this shop. The selection is not huge compared to some metaphysical stores, yet the staff make up for it all. Everyone is very excepting and willing to help no matter what you are looking for. Always go here when I need uplifting.
