Big, clean, spacious. This Safeway is not like your ordinary, run of the mill Safeway. This is an upscale Safeway. It has a dry-aged beef case (cuts of beef are hanging in the display case) next to their butcher counter area. This place also has a cool large Bulk Foods area, over 350 items to choose from, in back of the extra large Fresh Produce area. It also has a bulk olive oil bar. Safeway can clearly compete with Whole Foods and Sprouts Bulk Food Departments. I was pleasantly surprised that this Safeway has high quality and flavored bulk tea for sale, in particular Green Tea. The pharmacy is in the front of the store and their personal care area is laid out as if its a mini drugstore. Staff is friendly.

Its very close to my home. So its very convenient to buy anything I need there. I enjoy shopping at safeway also because some of their deals are cheap with high quality, and the nice and clean environment as well. Oh, the most important point is, which is also the reason why my 5 years old daughter said safeway is her favorite market, they provide some special carts for children. They are like ambulance, police car and fire truck. Thus Children could enjoy themselves sitting in the carts while mothers are shopping.

Nothing. They accused people of stealing on multiple occasions and had to apologize after being wrong. They put their hands on peoples families. Ive seen first hand the night crew gang up and attack customers. The female manager is a real nasty person

There is a Starbucks inside the store, though the service can be slow doing peak morning hours. Additional items include bulk bins in the back of the produce section. They offer aged beef at the meat counter. No pharmacy at this location.

Best selection of grocery items in San Ramon. For fresh items Sprouts might be a better stop but Safeway will have the harder to find options. They also have bottle/can recycling facility in the parking lot be sure to check it out!

one of the best safe way stores in the whole bay area is found in san ramon. I like the chicken sandwiches at this place much more delicious than subways subs. five star all the way to this place for keeping it nice and clean.

The very best food selection in San Ramon and good service but has got too pricy. Just came back from experiencing Shop-Rite on East Coast where everything was 25% less across the board. If you want to save, go to Sprouts.

Do not use the pharmacy here they got all my information wrong had to pay full price then had to call my insurance spent an hour on the phone to find out the pharmacy screwed up royally due to incompetent people.

Never have enough registers open. Always trying to push customers to scan their own items. Reminds me of pack and save but at least they gave you a discount.

Lines are usually long and they were out of trouble things I wanted. Flip side of the coin is that they are cheaper than Lucky and Nobhill.

Good location, staff helpful and its a recycle center on the parking lot, you can recycle and use the voucher in the store.
