Ive lived in san mateo for 5 years now and never even knew of this shopping center by trader joe. I passed by last month and saw a bunch of decorations out front, it happened to be their 15 year anniversary so I stopped by and sure glad I did. They were handing out free samples left and right like a buffet of goodies. All so good. Saw some delicious looking red velvet cupcakes so decided to buy 6 to take home and give to coworkers. Frosting was perfect and the cupcake itself was very moist. 5 stars for the cupcakes, assortment of samples I had and service from the ladies that took care of me. I will be back!

I had Cake Creations make a chocolate cake for my sons 3rd birthday. Some pros: 1) They actually respond to emails promptly. I had trouble getting a hold of other bakeries in the area. 2) Quick turn around-- I ordered Thu night for Sat morning pickup 3) Open early! Seemed like half the bakeries nearby dont really open their doors until lunch time. 4) The cake itself was quite good. Usually cakes for kids parties are really fluffy, super sweet. This cake was denser and much less sweet. It was a cake that both the adults and kids could enjoy. 5) Photo printing on top of a sheet cake is pretty awesome

A great experience. I ordered a cake and cookies for a baby shower held on a Sunday. They allow pick up on Sundays, even though they are closed. The items were fresh and delicious. The decorations were true to the pictures we provided. The Vicki was friendly and easy to work with from start to finish. I recommend the bakery and give them a 5 star rating.

Called early Wednesday morning to order a cake for Saturday and........"No more cakes for weekend. She is done taking orders!!" Well too bad for this place.

Got a pretty good custom photo printed cake. Colors were not exactly same as in the photo I gave, everything else is good.
