I travelled about 30 miles to go to Outdoor World in Capitola the weekend after Christmas to check out some ski boots for myself and my daughter. In the past it has been an okay store so I wasnt expecting what was to come. When we arrived, I couldnt even tell by looking around, where the departments were, no signage at all. Clothes of all sorts were in the middle and when I finally figured out where the isle was for under garments for skiing was, it was a disaster with packages just lying about the isle and items not where they belonged. Impossible to find anything. Then when I found what once was their ski department, or should I say corner, it was just a stack of last years snowboard and ski boots, all intermixed, again impossible to find anything. Seemed there were people waiting and no service available as they stood there in the corner for a while just trying to find someone to flag down. The store is just outright outdated, filthy, and not organized very well at all. Employees dont seem to give a care either. I will not be going back to this store unless it was my last resort and believe me, Ill try my darndest before I succum to going back. Management needs an overhaul.

All you could ever need for a good time outdoors. Alison was super friendly and made our time easy at the store. We were looking for a sleeping pad and the one we wanted was the one on display. It didnt have a bag, so Alison make shifted straps for us. Lots of merino wool choices for socks. Stocked with tons of clothing and fishing gear. Ive never seen so many fishing poles before. The staff all go camping and can recommend spots to check out and gear to use.

I had a great experience here with the staff! Super friendly and both gentlemen at the back at the firearms counter knew their stuff! I always make a point to stop here when Im in the area. You dont always get friendly customer service and actual people helping you these days. Good Review!

This is my go to store for BB guns, bows and arrows and misc. camping supplies. They seem to also sell a good selection of shoes and clothing but I have never checked it out. I have also used them to refill a paintball cylinder. The staff is helpful and friendly and parking is easy.

My purchase of a fire arm has a great ending because of the employees at outdoor world. Thanks to Jen my warranty of a hand gun was taken care of. She stuck with the problem and made the outcome great. Again want to thank outdoor world. Pozi pete

Great spot for a little bit of everything outdoors. Lots of tackle for fishing. Even got my first kayak here. When shopping online for kayaks, Outdoor World didnt come up in the search and everywhere else was sold out. LUCKED OUT!

Hello. The 90s would like their outdoor store back. They seem to be specializing in too many activities (sports, camping, gym wear, etc.). Poor selection on everything. Prices were no better than any online realitor.

Helpful staff and decent selection of out door gear of all types. They also have great sales prices. They can be a bit pricey on some items. Best spot in Santa Cruz still.
