I get stupid dumb when I walk in the door and see a certain barista behind the counter. My eyes scan the place for her upon my arrival... and if I see that shes there that day - instant gratification. Just one of her smiles generates enough warmth and kindness to keep a concentration camp copacetic through the coldest Siberian snowstorms. If I see that shes there that day and our eyes meet when I walk through that door, my heart skips a beat and I clumsily walk into this chair near the south entrance like a big dumb idiot... Its probably happened about three times now...heh *embarrassed look of embarrassment* Luckily theres never been a person sitting there sipping something hot...or not. Most of my time spent sitting there is used to work up the nerve to talk to this girl... used to think up something clever to say. This is not a girl at which you hurdle cheap pickup lines. Giggle she might, but probably just because shes polite. Then again I dont know her, but maybe someday I will gather the courage to simply say, "Hey." Oh yeah... and the coffees phucking fenomenal.

Anodyne is home to what is probably the best latte Ive ever had. Creamy, perfectly steamed milk mixed with fresh-brewed espresso, topped with some snazzy latte art is how this coffee company rolls. The product reflects the craftsmanship and talent of the staff. Servers are always friendly and upbeat, making you feel that you, as an individual, are important to them. Not like at that franchise "coffee" place down street with the mermaid on it. Its not the homiest place in the world. Theres not much in the way of cozy furniture/elaborate decorations, but that will all be forgotten once the first sip out of your cup is taken. I would strongly encourage all of you to pay a visit to this awesome coffee shop.

Anodyne is a great local roasting company in Bay View. They roast their coffee right in the store. Their branded items are very cool (think mugs and the like) and make great gifts. Their cold-press coffee is delicious and worth stopping in for. If you like to work in coffee shops just be aware that they have free wireless internet (ask for a card at the desk), a variety of tables including a large one for several people, but the roasting process is loud and I notice every time I go an odd aroma that gives me a headache. No one else I know has experienced the strange smell with accompanying headache however.

Bayview location horrible! I was there with a client and some people in our group got coffee and others did not get a drink. When our meeting was over and I was walking out my clients a rude girl from behind the counter yells "they didnt even get coffee." She said it loud enough for my clients to hear and they were uncomfortable and they had even bought coffee. While meeting with clients I don`t drink coffee I always buy it after. If their employees don`t want me to bring clients their to tip them...FINE. RUDE STAFF.

PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA! Anodyne surprisingly serves the best pizza that we have had in Milwaukee since moving here last year. Of course now we are obsessed... and live right down the street...so much for New Years resolutions. One pizza and one appetizer was the perfect size for two people to eat (full but not stuffed). We tried the Beet pizza and was seriously impressed! Loved the flavor profile and texture of the crust that the wood fire baking created. SO MUCH YUM!

Hands down the best coffee Ive ever had. And not just for MKE. Knowledgable staff, friendly roasters, great ambiance. I am so sorry Im not within walking distance of its Bay View location, and now, Im dying to check out the Walkers Point version. The coffee drinks cant be beat, but if you really want to have a quiet cuppa to yourself, just check out a seat on their window-facing counter, where you can write, dream, think, and feel the remedy of coffee once again.

Hot chocolate was okay. But I went in with my service animal. He had his vest on stating hes a service animal. The barista then looked and me just as I was about to place my order and said "we dont allow dogs in here". I also told her hes a service animal. And she continued to say okay but was a little push off ish about it.That made my anxiety really bad, if I wasnt there with a friend I would have left. I dont think Ill be going back.

I love everything here. Im very particular about coffee and this place knocked it out of the park with the Ethiopian coffee. It was wonderful. Also, there is a nice set of breakfast items to choose from. They also have great pizza, I loved "The Spice" which had a fancy spicy pepperoni type of sausage on it. It gets better though because they also have fantastic salads and a great beer list!

Very friendly Baristas. Its a little pricey, but if you only go ever once in a while, it wont break your bank. I didnt try any off their salads or pizza. There coffee and esspresso are very good. If they had a lite big bigger menu for snacks it might attract a little more people. If Hi-Fi Cafe and Anodyne were put in a blender it would be a great café. Not that either of them arent great!

An excellent and unique coffee company, with better than average coffee options and decent service. Also the pizza is surprisingly excellent, definitely worth checking out. There is a little bit to be desired as far as the tables and seating, as it feels like a local coffee shop with pizza added on, as opposed to a cozy pizza cafe with good coffee.

Pizza was unbelievable. Best in town. Had the Salumi. Beef Salami. Its like pizza in Italy. Ive been there 5 times. Italy that is. I have to say though the expresso was not very good. Super acidic and had a weird taste. Then again ive had it in Brazil and it was the best ive ever had. Very cool place though. Fast friendly service.

Im a coffee snob. With that, Anodyne Coffee is truly the best when it comes to local roasters. The service is solid, and I dont feel like Im being rushed for my order when I get to the counter. Their organic Sumatran beans are unmatched when it comes to roast and bean quality. Sorry Alterra, you dont come close to this place.

The atmosphere is ultra relaxing and chill. Cant recommend this place enough. You wont regret coming here for dinner or for morning coffee.

A place that is simply deceptive and serves beverages with complex flavors. Come here to get lost in a good book, surf the web while sipping a great cup of macchiato or sit at the cafe bar and chat with the great baristas. A wonderful place situated just south of the city with ample street parking.
