I purchased a vehicle from the Budget Lot as I needed a commuter vehicle for back and forth to work with a low payment. I traded my vehicle (2006 Chevy Impala with 77,000 miles) in on a Saturn Vue WITH 54,000 miles (the sales man was pushy and stated they wanted the sale in before the end of the month). Two weeks after I purchased the vehicle I called to ask about the most recent oil change as the window sticker said it hadnt been changed in 20,000 miles. They could not provide me a CarFax and couldnt tell me if their service dept changed the oil so I was told to get one just in case. 2 months later (now in my vehicle 10 wks) and the transmission started going (I had no reverse and my vehicle wouldnt go over 20 mph. When I called to ask the Budget Lot about it, I was told that transmissions go all the time and that I should call **** (another car dealer in Chippewa Falls) because they deal with the Saturn vehicles. I am still making payments on a vehicle I cant drive because I bought the vehicle for $5500 (with a $2000 trade in so $3600 financed) and it would cost $4200 for a new transmission in the vehicle. Because of the type of transmission it is I cant find anyone to rebuild it, I have to buy a used one with a 6mth warranty on it. And to make matters worse, my Chevy Impala was on their lot 2-3 wks later marked at almost $6000. One year after I purchased the lemon (Saturn Vue) I called the GM and asked if they could work on trading it in and get me into a different vehicle. Their answer was a $358 a month payment on a car that is to much over my budget. I went to the Budget Lot for a reason, I cant afford nor do I want the newer vehicles as it was just for commuting my hour drive to work. The salesman was understanding and tried very hard to make the newer car work for me, but they are not understanding of others needs. I truly felt that this dealership was all about the money coming in, instead of looking at it like they already made a profit on me once, maybe take a small loss to make a customer happy since you sold them a LEMON!!! I will not give this dealership any business and I will not give it good reviews if asked. I am extremely disappointed with the attitudes of the people that work at the Eau Claire Budge Lot and Credit Center as they take advantage of the people that are stuck in situations and cant afford a new car. I clearly told them my situation and what I needed the vehicle for. Thank you to Steve and Paul for trying to make a car work for me. If anything I blame this on the upper management for not taking the time to make sure their customers are taken care of and happy when YOUR dealership sells them a LEMON! I explained the whole situation to the GM who said he could help me and then told me to call the sales dept. I never heard back from the GM to see if anyone was able to help me or if there was anything else they could do. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They got their money, they dont care what you are left with!

Definition of sleezy used car salesmen. Will say anything to make a sale. Half of the things I was told about the vehicle were proved wrong either by my mechanic or the carfax that they gave me. Asked about a known factory problem and was told wouldnt be an issue due to it not being an aftermarket moonroof. Obviously just making things up as it was a factory problem Chrysler/Jeep is in court for. The problem luckily presented itself while I was still in the parking lot. Its been fixed but will likely be a problem in the future. The aftermarket navigation system is junk but was presented as an amazing premium system. Speaker wiring was bad, the audio shop they used "fixed" it and turned my heat off - in November. Speakers still go in and out. Sirius and XM have never worked. Now that its summer, I doscover the A/C doesnt work. I was told "at some point you will need to do maintainance on it." I was sold a vehicle that was documented as having no a/c problems. Nothing I did over the winter months caused the a/c to stop working. I was originally told they would look at it by my original salesman and when I brought the to the appointment I was told it would be $140 for a diagnosis. I will never enter this lot again. They are shady and scammy. Absurd high pressure sales. Disgusting customer service. As a woman, I was spoken to like a child and treated like I wasnt intelligent. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to be happy with the vehicle they purchase.

In short, the salesman didnt know what he was doing. He was a nice enough guy but seriously NOT meant for sales. The finance guy, Greg, is pretty crooked. I purchased GAP for my vehicle and cancelled it less than 15 minutes after I left the building. Greg tells me he sent all the paperwork through (which is a lie - theres NO WAY he couldve sent all that stuff thru from the time I left to the time I cancelled) and I will have to wait several months for a refund ($699). My guess is he did this so he could obtain a sale of GAP (obviously commissioned) even though I cancelled. On top of that issue, he was an extremely pushy seller and put up a fit when I tried explaining I had two different addresses I lived at. When I finally get a refund of GAP, they only refund $299! I call and they say it was a "key error" and refunded the rest a few days later... If I wouldnt have checked, they would have shorted me that amount. My latest complaint is dealing with my tires - I bought my car certified pre-owned and that means 80% tread or more. My boyfriend thought the tires looked low but they said no theyre 80%+. I go in for my next oil change and the guys mark my tires in the yellow zone! This place sucks. Several others have rated them low and they dont contact you to try and make it right, either. Obviously they dont care.

Needed to get my wheel locks taken off because i was given wrong lock key by from the dealer I bought the car from (different dealer). Eau Claire Nissan said they had the lug nuts to replace the wheel locks on my 13 Maxima. got there, got quoted around $50 for lugnuts and tire rotation (what i wanted to do). When finished, they said they didnt have the right lugnuts so they put the wheel locks back on my tires. I wasnt happy about that but they only charged me for the rotation (which i wanted). I checked and they did the roation too. However, Im left with wheel locks I cant take off (quickly) in case of an emergency. It wouldve been considerate of them to ask first before doing the rotation and ordering the right lugnuts first. So now im just going to order them myself and take the locks off myself (since there are ways around the lock and tools for it). The employees were polite and professional but please ask/notify customers when the situation changes before doing anything.
