DANGER! RENTED BOAT LEAKED! Recently I rented a row boat from Parkview General Store they were happy enough to rent it to me and take my money. I knew something was up when they gave my 6-year old daughter and I sub-par life jackets as a part of the rental. If I would have known that they were so cheap, nasty and dirty I would have purchased some myself. Also tie straps are a poor way to fasten a life vest which is what they had. My daughter and I had just finished loading up the boat and I was just checking to make sure everything was OK when I noticed that the boat was leaking around where the drain plug tube goes into the boat. I would like to reiterate the drain plug was NOT what was leaking, it was on the outside of the tube into which the drain plug goes into so no matter how tight the drain plug was it would still leak. We unloaded to boat and returned to Parkview General store. I let the employee know that the boat leaked. She seemed flippant about such a serious manner. She did not even apologize about the situation. I told her that I wanted some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and danger her boat rental service put my 6 year old daughter and I in but her response was, in a very disrespectful tone, "How was I supposed to know the boat leaked? I didnt know it leaked!". Perhaps if they were inspected there would not be this issue. She offered me a new boat on a different lake but when I inspected that one i decided not to chance it. I came back and asked for my money back and the employee behind the counter (Haley) was super rude about it like all this was somehow my fault. Something else to be aware of is their bizarre policy that they expect to HOLD onto your credit card as a deposit or $50 cash. So if you need your Credit card or dont like the idea of a complete stranger possession of your credit card then bring $50! However I WOULD NOT recommend renting boats from here.

They didnt have boat rentals even though the sign said they did. They seemed unorganized and the boat rental bussess was not their priority. Its a nice general store, however I would not recommend for boat rentals.

Awesome ice cream! We came here multiple times on our last camping trip to Mauthe Lake in Kettle Moraine North. Its a convenient store close to camp for any last grabs. They have a good $4 campfire wood deal too
