Let me start off by saying you can get some great buys here. But be weary of placing holds and buying over the phone, a couple months ago I purchased a billiard light over the phone that was in "Excellent condition" and looked good in the pictures, upon picking it up I noticed one of the stained glass pieces was cracked. I then asked for my money back, to which they refused and showed me the listing stating it was cracked. THEY ALTERED THE LISTING after someone obviously broke it. I about came unglued! I spoke with a manager, and finally got a confession that someone did alter the listing after I bought it (I received $20 store credit on top of my refund, woohoo). I am also 99% sure they raised the price $5 on an item I placed a hold on, for I couldnt believe they only had $40 on it, upon paying... it was now $45 (of course I have no way to prove it). I suggest taking a screen shot of the item description and price if placing a hold or purchasing from their website. They are Very Dishonest in my opinion, no way to run a business.

My review is for the demo they did of our entire kitchen and a couple of other areas (breakfast nook built in desk, entire laundry room, etc). It was a BIG job. I called a couple months ago and due to scheduling reasons had to postphone a couple of times. They were very accomodating. Today Flynn and his crew came out at the scheduled time and proceeded to work all day removing all the cabinetry, the island, the appliances (including a large double oven, dishwasher, range, 42 inch built in refrigerator). Ive worked with alot of contractors and vendors in the industry and this crew is top notch professional, efficient and pay great attention to your concerns. Mine included keeping demo damage to next to zero which they accomplished. I thought it was cute when they brought me in to look at a "small area"...I laughed when I saw it was a nick in the drywall about as big as a fingernail. Again, they were moving out an entire truckload, no small task. What a great idea and knowing that our cabinetry and everything will find another good home.

Love the concept Of this place. Most of the staff are very friendly. However there is a couple who constantly nag me about my service animal being off leash. Its really annoying. The dog is super trained. He does not need a leash. And hasnt done anything to anyone. They preach policy and rules and I dont care. I will not follow stupid policies or rules. Home Depot/Lowes doesnt harass me. I have more flexibility on an airplane than this place. My SA flies more than most Americans. I am not one to preach guilt before innocence. If a person or animal has not ACTED negatively, just say nothing. I am the one taking risk. And after 9 years of nothing in this 11 year old dog, my risk has been worth the gain. Im not returning here unless this policy is relaxed. And the staff taught not to be so aggressive in upholding it. Back to the box stores where common sense is the rule/policy, not customer harassment.

This place used to be special but its like they all hate their jobs now. Id been a customer since they opened their doors. I cant count how many people I referred to them nor how many thousands of dollars we spent fixing up our elderly house with treasures bought at Second Use. I can forgive an occasional grumpyass, especially in a salvage business, but it started out with a staff that was enthused about what they were doing, were excited and genuinely interested in your projects, bothered to let you know when something you might like came in, had a visible sense of humor (displayed through the product signage and such throughout the store & yard), were eager to learn of tear-downs and other raw salvage material opportunities... but now... lets just say the only item Im willing to donate is a special finger I usually reserve just for driving.

Eclectic variety of gently (and not-so-gently) used building materials. Perfect if you have a vintage home, or are just tired of buying made-in-[low-wage foreign country name] disposable things. There was a time that everything from doorknobs to light fixtures to trim were made by true craftsmen, and you can find them here. Or that cheap used cabinet to hang in your garage to store last years paint in. Prices are reasonable, and they really do keep their website up-to-date, which is tough when nothing here arrives with an RFID tag or barcode!

This place is a must see. Looking to accomplish a home renovation? Check here first, they have a lot of old school vintage items that could look good in your home. The also will take vintage items that you remove from your older home, cabinets, doors, etc. You will only get in store credit from the deal, but you are likely to find something you want to buy. They have a huge selection.

Home base for materials, kind people, expert advise, laughs, and all things brilliant that get your creative mind working! The inventory system is fantastic and updated continuously. Installing an exterior door and a sink basin today that were just the perfect fit of "I can make this work"! Thank you for being wonderful.

Really neat spot if youre hunting around for unusual reclaimed materials - windows, wood, tools, fixtures and lots of other random stuff. Decently priced items too. I couldnt believe finding a table saw for $15 and a radial arm saw for $20 (they reqd a bit of TLC).

This place is awesome! You will find things here that you didnt even go in looking for. I have purchased some hand-made furniture made by the employees and couldnt be happier with the quality. The staff is always helpful and welcoming.

Good store to obtain second-hand building materials salvaged from others remodeling projects. You can get some very interesting pieces, from antique to modern, at good prices. A must for home projects that go easy on the earth.

Decent place to find second use items for home and business. Prices are OK; it takes some time to find things. And you never know what you will find! Not much staff help; youre on your own.

Better assistance than the other salvage "Earth" place. They actually appreciate their clientele and use some intelligence as they make an effort to help you.
