Damask is an exceptionally wonderful establishment that provides the community with top notch service and beautiful artwork. Kendal has been an absolute joy to work with. I cannot express how thankful I am for her art, collaboration/guidance, and endless kindness. She cares about her customers and always puts forth her best work—gorgeous work that is truly amazing. The atmosphere at Damask is clean, beautiful, and most important to me—it is safe. I especially like that each artist has their own space to work in. It allows for the customers to focus on their objectives and spend quality time with the artists, friends, family, and/or everyone (or whatever is important to them). I have been to Damask Tattoo a total of five times, exclusively with Kendal. My first two times, she was an apprentice and has since become an established artist. She is easily one of the most talented artists I’ve met (my father was a tattoo artist, so tattoos have always been a part of my life). The staff and other artists have always treated me kindly as well, helped me with random questions, and pointed me to useful resources (if you haven’t checked out the website, there’s so much great information there!). Damask as earned my trust and loyalty—I cannot recommend Damask enough for anyone interested in getting tattooed. As most of us experience, each tattoo is significant. I’d like to think that Kendal and Damask is a part of each one, too. Thank you so much for making such an impact and difference in my life! I can’t wait to go back for my next appointment!

The folks on the phone and email are super nice, totally friendly - especially Bobbi/Bobby & Ingrid. Both were informative, good listeners and quick to reply to email. I was traveling to Seattle and made a tentative appointment (in March for May) with Sara Kay. I was told my emails were forwarded to Sara and to email her directly for an email/phone consult; next steps, deposit, drawing fee, etc. I emailed Sara two or three times, no reply. Called the shop to make sure I had the right email address or if Sara was uninterested - I was told shes stoked to do my project and Id hear back from her. The shop called today to confirm my appointment, I told them I never heard from the artist - ever. They asked if I still wanted to come in, LOL .... If your artist never responds then its a sign youre not supposed to have it happen. Like I said, super nice folks to talk to but Sara was totally unresponsive ..... Its probably not indicative of who she is as a professional, or maybe it is, who knows ....

I just got my seventh (!) tattoo from Laura, and it will not be the last! In addition to being an incredible artist, Laura is warm, witty, and very attentive to the needs of her clients (I can recall a previous tattoo that became very painful at the end of the 4 hour session, and she essentially said "I can tell that youre having a hard time, so Im just going to distract you and tell you all about my upcoming vacation!" which is EXACTLY what I needed). As much as I love Lauras art (which is a lot; it is a privilege and an honor to have her art adorn my body), what really keeps me coming back is the tattooing experience. Tattoos have become one of my favorite self-care activities and I know that when I go to Laura for a tattoo, I am going to leave not only with a great tattoo but with a great memory of the experience (and probably some good book/television/movie recommendations too!).

I received a tattoo from Shiloah at the Seattle Tattoo Expo. Not only do I love my tattoo, but I was quite impressed with the way the Damask Tattoo team operated at the expo. I felt confident that I was getting a quality tattoo and the area was calm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the surroundings. Shiloah was fantastic. Despite my leg involuntarily twitching a lot, they made it work. I have received so many compliments about my tattoo already, from the colors used to the overall design. Shiloah took the time to consult with me about what I wanted and checked in with me (I booked in advance) before my tattoo a few times. They are so talented!!! I also appreciated their advice regarding aftercare, as the non-petroleum-based balm (The Balms of Nature - they were at the Expo) I have has led to the best healing experience Ive had with a tattoo. Thank you!!

I had the best experience here! Suzanna Fisher worked with me in designing exactly what I wanted from the piece. She is great at listening to what you want, working with you, and coming up with beautiful work. From her online portfolio, as well as artwork in the studio, it is clear that she is a very talented and very versatile. More than that she is welcoming and warm. From start to finish the tattoo took about 4 1/2 hours, and I was comfortable the entire time. The piece (my third) is by far my favorite; its bold and colorful while still being feminine. If you are looking for a custom tattoo, definitely go here. (FYI- I dont know why Google maps locates them in Madrona; they are definitely in Queen Anne. See the shops website for the address.)

My two visits to Damask have been very positive! Jude is a wonderful artist and is continually professional and friendly. I requested a difficult task: tattoos on my knees, and Jude handled it with professionalism and grace, despite it being something they havent been asked to do very often. The result has been exactly what I had pictured in my head, if not better. The studio itself is clean and welcoming, with a bright stylish decor. At Damask, I feel I am in a safe place with high standards. Additionally, some small bonuses I like about Damask are the complimentary teas and sweets (sometimes you need that sugar!) and the free vegan tattoo moisturizer if you pay with cash.

As a vegan, this is why I chose Damask Tattoo! Vegan ink and aftercare were of utmost importance to me! Laura Exley just did my awesome Vegan tattoo and I am in love with it! My first tat ever and what a fun and exciting experience it was because of Laura! This studio is so clean and soothing and absolutely amazing...if you are looking to get a new tattoo, or like me, looking for an awesome first tat experience...you will not find a better place! I have more planned for sure and I would not even think of going anywhere but Damask!!! Seriously...go and get yourself a tattoo here... You will never regret it!

This was my first time at Damask and my Dads first time getting a tattoo. Bree was our artist and she was lovely! She explained the process in detail, made sure we both were 100% happy with the art and its placement and also made sure we knew she was using clean equipment and new ink and needles. The shop is clean, comfortable and well lit. The shop staff is all friendly and engaging. Truly a relaxing atmosphere, which is great if you are not into the whole dark interior, loud music and a ton of machismo and peacocking at your stereotypical shop. I will definitely be back and will recommend you all to friends! - Dan S.

Christy and her crew rock! I moved out of town a few years ago and hadnt seen Christy in a few years. I called to let her know I would be in town and she squeezed me in for a few hours two days after Christmas. I sat and we chatted it up like the old days, like when I had my bi-monthly standing appointment. Before I knew it three hours had passed and I was getting the new vegan ointment and heading out the door. (that stuff is awesome btw). On a side note, this is the nicest, cleanest tattoo joint I have ever stepped foot in. Christy, thank you so much. See you next time Im in Seattle.
