Wow. I went in to Bartells to buy some briquettes, liqour, and mixers right after shopping at met market. I had a grocery bag from met market in my hands as I walked in to do my shopping. I first grabbed a couple of cans of soda for mixer and only having one free hand I put them in my met market bag and then walked up to the front to check out and grab a bottle of vodka. Whilst in line I realized how it might have looked putting the soda in the bag, so I pulled one out so they could see I wasnt trying to steal. Then realizing I forgot briquettes, I asked this lady "wendy" if I could set the bag on the counter while I finished my shopping. After inquiring with another employee about briquettes and realizing they didnt have what I needed, I went back to the front, grabbed my bag, and got back in line. At this point I figured since I was going to have to go to another store to get briquettes anyways, I mine as well just get everything I needed in one stop at safeway, so I pulled the cans back out of my bag and set them on a display rack ( I should have put them back in the cooler, but I was being lazy, and after all, am I the only one who has ever just set something they decided they didnt want in a place other than the one they got it from?) As I proceeded to leave the store Wendy asked me if I was still going to buy the liquor, and I said no and then she grabbed my bag and tore it out of my hand, so she could look inside to see if I was stealing. After she saw that there was nothing in there from their store, she said " good idea ", insinuating that I was trying to steal the cans of soda and just turned around and walked away from me, not apologizing for basically accusing me of stealing in front of everybody in the store and ripping the grocery bag out of my hand, in so tearing the handle and making me have to re-adjust my grip and stop everything from dropping out onto the ground right in the doorway. I just dropped $60 At met market on a couple of steaks and scallops, and she thinks that Im trying to steal a couple of cans of soda? WOW. Needless to say I was IRATE. I shop at this Bartells location at least 3 times a week, and also use their pharmacy for all of my prescriptions. Im not sure if I will EVER shop at another Bartells again if this situation is not rectified. Long time Bartells customer, Mike

Right off of the bat, this particular Bartell Drugs store is open 24 hours a day. Which makes it a super convenient and clutch store, and even though this fact alone is enough to make this Bartells as good as gold in my mind, it is not all that the store has going for it. Preeminently, the employees working the graveyard shift are extremely helpful, considerate, and upbeat! This is especially impressive when one considers the awkward and difficult nature of the late hours that they are working. The employees that work at the Bartells on 1st and Mercer have won my loyalty, through their dedication and kindness, and I shall continue to go out of my way to patronize their store!

If you can help it, just know that the best time to come shop here is late at night. Its great that the store is open for 24 hours. Reason mostly being that the private lot is fairly small, and people are terrible at driving there for some reason. The side doors are closed late at night, so youll have to enter through the doors close to the escalators. Its relatively clean inside, and the shelves are always stocked with everything. The only thing that sucks is that there is always only ever one clerk at the register, which can be annoying when theres 3-4 people waiting in line.

If this had been my first experience with Bartell I would never return. I have gone to the one on QA hill - very impressed. This was my first visit to this one and it will be my last. The cashier - short layered red hair - was so rude to me and then to my 89 yr old mother. She is the worst representative for you. A sneer - snarl - and absolutely no civil response to questions. Time of visit - 10:30am Dec 28th.

Super helpful and friendly pharmacy staff. This is a busy 24 hour store so give yourself plenty of time to go through the process. If you are expecting to walk up and get your prescription in a jiffy then think again. I had a new medication they didnt carry and boom they had it ordered and ready for pickup by noon the next day. Be good to the staff and the will be good to you.

The pharmacy is the worst. Every other time I come in they get something wrong, and just stare at me when I ask them to fix it, or even how to. And theyre always busy, not because they get a lot of people, but because they are totally incompetent and mess up everyones scripts. I know its 24 hrs, but dont bring your scripts here. Its not worth it.

The store itself is good, and clerks are great. But the pharmacy is a hot mess. Always a problem, either being shorted by one or two on pills, not billing insurance, not filling a RX for some reason, but not calling to let you know or get clarification.

This Bartell gets the job done, are well stocked usually, and open 24 hrs, and are friendly if youre not a self-absorbed, impatient, and demanding person. (for those who are, take a chill pill- I believe they carry those as well)

Always busy when there is no one waiting, so the prescriptions take too long to fill. They dont answer their phones when you call either. The pharmacy tech that helps me is super nice but the service overall is not good.

I am very thankful for this location, because it is open 24hours, including the pharmacy! Also, even though it is in a busy part of town, they have 30-minute parking spots in a lot, so it is quite accessible.

Super friendly and fast. I bright a friend here who was visiting from Indiana. They accepted her Medicare and were able to send her rx to the Bartell thats located in the same parking lot.

The pharmacy is the worst. Seems like nothing but interns who barely know whats going on in there. Plan to move my scripts to CVS as soon as it opens!!

This is the worst pharmacy Ive ever experienced. I come here every month and they never have my prescription. Walgreens never had this problem.

I found what I was looking for, and a gentleman helped me locate the microfiber cloths so I could clean my glasses. Nice selection of things.
