Drop your pride and admit fault. I took a new watch up to get fitted, and received it back with scratches in the crystal large enough to feel with my finger nails. I had taken it out of the box the night before, and hadnt even worn it until I brought it to Plateau Jewelers. The crystal was in perfect condition right before. I would know, since I check compulsively anyways. I noticed it within seconds of getting the watch back from the woman that fitted the watch to me. I tried my best not to say anything since its a cheap watch, but my frustration got the better of me. When I brought it back, the woman denied any wrong doing and told me flat out she had done nothing to scratch the crystal. She had worked there 20 years, after all. It was you. It was in perfect condition before you handled it. I even looked at it before I gave it to you. This situation has convinced me now to take pictures of my watches in the future before anyone handles them. No more trusting strangers.

I recently went in and had a pretty difficult assignment as my design I had in mind was on the edge of impossible and I knew I needed to work with creative open minded people. Cyndney helped me and we truly went thru catalogs and sent idea after idea back to the jeweler until finally we hit on THE ONE! Have purchased a number of pieces of jewelry for my wife at Plateau Jewelers over the last several years. Though the inventory is not as extensive as some large "chain" jewelers, the selection is high quality and service is superb. Recently had a watch cleaned and scratches removed from the bezel. Price was reasonable. The watch was ready sooner than promised and the result was a watch that looks almost new. Highly recommended local merchant.

Worst customer service. I brought in a number of rings that my grandmother left to my mom to get appraised and pick a stone to build my own engagement ring. Plateau jewelers bald employee was accusing me of stealing the rings and said he wouldnt buy them. I then told him I wasnt trying to sell them. He continued to be rude so I took my things and left. He then followed me out to write down my license plate. Unbelievable!

Best customer service ever! I saw someone said worst customer service and I just had to respond. I have been going here for almost 20 years and have yet to purchase anything substantial. Just watch batteries, attach a charm to a bracelet, have an appraisal done, and yet they great me each time by name and always offer to clean my rings and often even give me a piece of chocolate. They "define" the word customer service!

Im not sure where the other person went, but the customer service has always been great, and I am not a big spender such that $10K buys customer service. I have bought a watch, had watch batteries replaced, and bought a few inexpensive pieces in the two years I have gone. I have always been treated with courtesy, and I love that this is a local business that is not overpriced.
