By far the best customer service Ive had! I was shopping for a Christmas gift one night and had put a string of pearls with matching earrings on layaway at the mall, but I decided it would be wise to continue looking for a good deal elsewhere just in case. I stopped in and was approached my a man named Larry who was very polite, patient, and highly knowledgeable as I was about to learn. I told him what Id found in the mall and he showed me something comparable that they had to offer, with the one major difference being price. The difference was that Shane Co was over $200 less expensive for the identical set! (or at least as close as you can get with pearls) But it wasnt only the price that appealed to me, Larry was incredibly patient with showing multiple strands, comparing them side by side and showing me the subtle differences that Id otherwise never notice! He also took the time to educate me on the freshwater, Akoya, and Tahitian pearls and the way in which they are produced, and why they are priced the way they are according to size, shape and pearl-essence. So when I found and string that I liked, Larry went back to find a closely matching set of earrings. While he was away, I made conversation with one of the ladies who explained to me the philosophy of how Mr. Shane doesnt believe in holding sales because if you must put things on sale, your prices are probably too high. That makes perfect sense to me. She also told me how they guarantee their jewelry for life for free! The warrantee is included in the already low price. I almost paid an extra $150 for a warrantee at the other place! When Larry came back with a beautifully matched set, I told him that I would gladly take them home with me. He informed me that over time, the necklaces often develop gaps between the pearls, and that Shane Co will restring them absolutely free! Larry proceeded to take me over to the register where he left me in the care of another young lady who offered me both black or grey jewelry boxes before wrapping them. I had a bit of trouble deciding which looked better, so I pondered for maybe 10 seconds which Id take, and she simply concluded that shed give me both to let me decide later! Unbelievable! So I was just about to pay when I remembered that I needed a link taken out of my watch and the clasp looked at. So I went back to find Larry, and handed him the watch in which he took to the jeweler. He stood by and made conversation with me until the jeweler finished, and then added that there would be no charge. Again, unbelievable. I thanked him for all of his help and went on to checkout. As my card was being run, I noticed Larry walking toward the back door. I had kept him busy past his break and/or end of shift, and he never got antsy or impatient with me. Remember that they dont receive a commission whatsoever, he had nothing to gain by taking his time with me in this situation. I just wanted to thank all who helped with this, especially Larry. I apologize for the lengthy review, but from the time I walked in to the time I walked out, my experience was awesome and I wanted to share it all.

I went there on the 13th of Feb 2010 Looking for a mount ring for a 2 carot ruby. When I want there around 3pm there was only about 5 people working there and about 30 people shoping, Took forever for someone to walk up and ask if we where doing okay, We said we where looking for a mount also talk him what we where looking for as a look. He asked if there was anything I liked I showed him and he asked what I liked about it and then got 3 other rings that the things I liked about the one I showed him, It was busy and he kept on leaving and coming back and working with like 5 other people so we where there for over 2hrs! When I picked one and filled out the paper work,He told me after all the shoping it was going to cost me 250 buck to set my ruby in the ring I picked because It wasnt from them:/ So a $600 ring was over $1000 in the end with all the fees and taxs! Was BS Then he told me that it wouldnt be ready till the 19th after 4pm....So now that I am kinda stuck with it I just said okay and I came back to pick it up at 5pm I was late but at 5pm they didnt even get started on my ring!! So I had to wait around after the lady there said it would be 30min more and I am thinking to myself I paid $250 bucks for 30 mins of work? From some guy that looks like he works at taco ball? So again I said okay and went to see if I could find a ring that could go with it but again it took forever for someone to help me and the lady that did kept on coming and going just like the last time I was there, It made me mad that I got 5min of help then would have to wait 15mins for her to come back to talk for 5 more mins...Anyway over hur later they still where not done with my ring! almost 7pm they got it done and all the lady did was take 50 bucks off my bill and told me I can come pick up my other ring sooner because she was going to see I get it asap but that didnt happen and I had to wait till today to come get it, The rings are nice looking but there people suck and a lot of fees, Dont go there if you want something in the same week or have a stone that you want a mount for. Oh and if you have Tattoos because both of my arms are tattooed all the way down and they seemed to ask me more about my ink then what I was looking for and then the girl that was there when I paid said I was crazy to get so many! I was like thinking to myself "This is how I get talked to?" I just wanted to tell all of them to F$%^ off!

My fiance and I went in to Shane Co. after morbid curiosity from the radio ads. I had done some preliminary online browsing (how could i not?!) to get some kind of an idea of what i was looking for and what kind of prices we should expect. We set our budget for everything, engagement and wedding bands at $1500... pretty small given a) todays market and b) a girl who loves her some sparkly. We didnt want to make a big purchase like this from an online retailer- we just really wanted to see what the ring would look like in person and on the hands :) I didnt want anything tooo obnoxious, only a little bit ;-) We went in the second week of august to pick out an engagement ring for me, and wedding bands for our upcoming wedding. Ya gotta love sparkly :) conveniently located next to alderwood mall, shane co wasnt difficult to find. we live in kirkland, so on the weekend without traffic its only about a 20 minute drive. we walk in- and were greeted with a gorgeous waterfall/plant waiting area. We start browsing the very spatious sales floor and start oohing and ahhing at the selection. The building has skylight/wall things, and it was one of those really hot and sunny days so the extra natural light from outside complimented all the jewelry well. The sales rep who came to greet us was Wesley . He offered us something to drink to start the process rolling. He was completely at ease, and I didnt get any sleasy salesperson vibe from him. We explain to him what we are looking for- we talk about budget- and i show him a printout of what i (thought) i liked, and we even got a mini lesson on diamond knowledge. How to use those grading scales, etc etc. He brings out the ring (he only had one left!) and the diamond i had selected. I put it on, and the band was STELLAR... but i was a bit dissapointed with the size of the diamond. Kudos to the fiance for making me shop in person. Since we were well under budget we opted to increase the diamond size, and we were STILL on track with the budget. So i found my rings- After I was finished, Wesley took us over to the mens Suffice to say.... by the time (only about an hour later) we were finished... I had doubled my diamond size (SQUEE!) ....and both fiance and i had fantastic wedding bands. I would recommend Shane Co to anybody thats in the jewelry shopping mode, and kudos to Wesley for making it a fantastic experience :)
