I have been shopping there since they opened this branch. the parking is always crowded, and food is expensive then Lynn wood H Mart. At beginning, they dont provide shopping cart for kids ( the one you can tied kids on) I went a long way to toyus to borrow one, because I dont want to use next door ( a pet store)s shopping cart for food, I was refused to enter the store. they are not allowed other companys cart. Now, its been a while since they first opening, they probably not even want to spend money on the kid friendly shopping cart, they allowed customers to use other stores cart. Just wondering if they have any agreement with their neighbor for sharing the shopping cart? but for a customer with small kids, I feel not very right to go into other store get a shopping cart and leave to go into another store! Their tofu got sour long time before their expiration date. I had this experience 3 times. the most recent one is on Dec 26, I bought 2 carton of tofu with Jan 23 is the expiration date. on Dec 28 when I want to cook them, they are sour. I took picture to show the expired date and just kindly want to reminder them its rotten before expiration date. So when I went shopping next time (probably Jan 3) I showed the picture to the store manager? (they guy always wonder around at store), He told me he cant do anything without the receipt and sour tofu. what a bad service! who is going to keep the rotten tofu several days for return?

Could not help but notice this Hmart in Bellevue,WA is the most plush Hmart among its Hmart Franchise. Given its backyard of Microsoft, EddieBauer,Expedia-Bellevue hub. Its located among the most expensive hub of Bellevue Neighborhood just next door to Bellevue ToysRus and down few blocks from Bellevue Police Precinct as well as few more blocks from Bellevue SquareMall. The food court has Korean-Japanese fresh eatery that is Restaurant Quality than a mere food court;FRESH! I two thumbs up recommend Hmart Bellevue,WA! Given more offered at bigger space at Lynnwood Hmart as well as even more selections at FederalWayHmart. It IS the convenience Hmart-Bellevue caters to those living in the RICHEST hub of EastKingCounty(Bellevue,Kirkland,Redmond,Sammamish neighborhoods) having access to Bellevue Hmart where everything is more expensive. Check out Prices between HmartBellevue and Uwajimaya near OVerlake Hospital.Oh and theres KoreanSpeaking cashier at Uwajimaya Bellevue too.

If you need Korean food or groceries, I wouldnt go out of my way to come to this location (go to the H Mart at Lynnwood or Federal Way instead: they are much much bigger), but if youre local to the Eastside (Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, etc.), its great to have a Korean grocery store nearby without having to drive 40-45 minutes to Lynnwood or Federal Way. This location may be small, but it has all the basics: produce, drinks (incl. Korean alcohol such as soju and makgeoli), ramen, rice, snacks, meats, fish, etc. It also has a small bakery and a small eating area for their prepared foods (rolls, sushi, Korean bbq over rice, lunch boxes, fried goods). There is also prepared/marinated meats for you to do Korean BBQ at home. Aisles are a bit narrow, so I said not wheelchair accessible although there are no stairs and the entrance door is wide.

The cashier was too rude. It was the second visit to Belleve H mart. My first visit was two days ago, I need a milk for my baby, a apple for my child. And I planned special dinner at tomorrow. The cashir recognized me and said "You shopping so frequently!" I didnt answer, then she said it again. She asked me a lot. After she know that I am taking care of my children alone, than said "You are not hard. I took care of my 3 children for six months alone! You are not hard!" The other cashir just smile and never stepped in. I just keep silence - I dont want to make trouble in fron of my kids. She doesnt know my job, She doesnt know I cant sleep yesterday, she doesnt know my kids are special. And I went to buy stuffs, not judging my life. I dont know why she was so mean to me, and not sure she will be polite to other custumers.

You need to train your cashiers not to stare at their customers like they dont want to work there or discontent look and which I found they are very offensive and rude. Not all of the cashiers like that, but there is one middle aged woman think she can give that rude remarks to her customers(does not wear a pair of glasses). I have no idea what is the deal with this person. Educate that person or I will stop using your grocery store. One last thing, when other uneducated people cut other customers off while everyone Elses waiting on the line, you need to make it right at the place without serving them first. This is not a China.

Loved the selection and calm vibe. I would love to travel to Japan and South Korea, and this feels as close as you can get to going to those places within a short drive. Selection of fruits, vegetables, seafood and general groceries is great, plus there a tiny patisserie near the entrance with tasty snacks and sweets. From the cashier checkout I could see really beautiful cakes. Also, the prices are great. Give it a try if you are near.

My go to place when Im looking to shop for asian food. They have a fair selection of organic produce, but i come here mainly to buy asian vegetables that you cant purchase in places such as wholefoods or traderjoes or safeway. The fresh seafood selection is also decent. The workers will filet/ clean/ slice your fish / seafood depending on what your preference is. They also provide free plastic bags so you dont have to bring your own bag.

Its refreshing to have such a great selection of produce than your standard lettuce and spinach etc. The pastries are awesome, not too sweet! Its a special treat when they bring out the rice cracker maker and you can buy a fresh batch popped right in front of you. The only thing is I wish they would clean the grocery carts more often. However, the great selection of goods and very reasonable pricing overrides this tiny detail.

There is only one unhappy korean cashier who never put customers grocerys items in bags. She never smiled and said greeting words. She always commands to customers to put their items by themselves or just left all until customers cleaned the cashier table. Whenever I visited there, I spent over $100. But I do not want to go back there anymore because of the rude& lazy cashier.

Rotten pears do they sell! We bought a box of Korean pears last Sunday and brought home. When we opened the box, more than a half of the pears were rotten. Being 300 miles away, how am I going to retunrn these for refund? It was my oversight not to carefuuly check the pears in the box. In a way, I trusted the store. But how could this H Mart sell such rotten pears!

Visited this with a friend, though Im vegetarian and I dont buy here any thing , but for Fish lovers this might be a paradise, of course wide varieties of Wines to carry in the cart and other fewer regular groceries , which avoids , multiple store visit and parking on a weekend. There are good stores around this to do & Buy with one time parking the car.
