This story ends with me leaving the store very angry due to a complete lack of customer service. Will never be back to another advanced which is a shame since in the past Ive had good experiences. So I went in around 9am to get parking brake cables for my truck. The staff member assisting me was very pleasant and helpful. Got them all together and even gave some tips and tricks. Got home and a few hours later got started. Realized the intermediate cable Id been provided was the wrong one. Went back with my original one in hand. Met Tim the cashier, Tim is vile and impatient. I was asking questions and trying to figure out the correct cable length. He offered no insight and just kept asking me if I was going to just buy another one he guessed was the right part. I didnt feel like wasting another 2 hours on a guess. During this a young woman walked in, likely sent by someone prancing her, and asked for blinker fluid. Tim laughed at her for a solid minute and offered her no explaination. She asked again if he had it and he simply said no and she left pretty upset. I mean I get that its funny but he embarrassed her in front of the whole store. So I then tell Tim Id like to return the incorrect cable Id been sold. He told me he could not return it without the receipt, despite that the gentlemen who sold it to me told him 5 minutes earlier it was the wrong part he sold me. He tried looking up my phone number, but the earlier salesman had never asked for my number or speed perks info, so no dice. So I left to go find a receipt and do some more research for the right part. I found the right one at autozone up the street thanks to their very courteous staff. No luck on the receipt. Went back thinking theyd be reasonable, I bought them the same day and the guy who sold them was right there. Well, Tim once again said no receipt no return. I explained and pleaded, he asked his manager. The manager told me they could do store credit, I explained I didnt want store credit because I had to get the right part from autozone who had it. The manager informs me there is nothing he can do then. I mention that if I dont get a return Im heading to google, Facebook, twitter, and their corporate office and that I will not be back. So Ive spent a couple thousand over the last few years with advanced auto, but never again. Avoid this place. Still hoping someone at corporate will make it right.

Its funny that the (Im assuming) manager was refusing to pricematch an online price like one of their associates did just a month or so ago. Its funny that she wanted to be rude about it too. Its also funny that Advance Autos website states that pricematch will be made to local and online competitors (plus shipping, as I had on the invoice) but then customer support says its up to the managers discretion. Youll be seeing less business from me. Its a shame that good customer service is of a dying breed, but prices continue to rise.

Quick in and out recommended by my brother. Shane is really knowledgeable idk what the other reviews are talking about they must have gone in when they were training new hires or something because most of them have a good idea of what youre looking for and the store manager was more than willing to price match me when I asked. Hell one of the associates even went to the advance website to find me a coupon not sure how much better customer service you want then to get a coupon you didnt even know about

Service sucks incapable of pulling or ordering the correct parts for your application. Counterman are inexperienced and want to argue with you when they are wrong. This happens on multiple jobs and my customers experience this as well. Better off to go to NAPA AUTO PARTS and save yourself the stress!!!.....plus better quality parts. I would have given them less than one star but couldnt......bottom line = ADVANCE AUTO SUCKS !

Went in there this morning had my oil changed and everything checked out before we leave for vacation. I didnt have an appointment, just walked in at 12:15 and was back out with everything checked and oil changed within a 1/2hr. I highly recommend this company for all your automotive needs.
