I will never patronize this Ross location ever again. The sales associates that we encountered have very poor customer service skills. But most importantly, I noticed that one of the sales associates followed my 3 children and I all around the store. She even followed my 11 year old daughter into the dressing room when she went in to try on clothes. She never offered to assist us and we were courteous, we didnt look or act suspicious and my children are young. As we shopped for school clothes it hadnt dawned on me what she was doing. I just kept seeing her and she never offer assistance. But then I noticed her watching as we were in line at the register. I questioned my children about her watching us and they confirmed my suspicion. They even mentioned that she watched and followed us from the moment we walked in the door and my daughter told me about the dressing room incident. Whats most distressing is, we are black and so was the associate. Im a middle aged neatly dressed man and my children are 9, 11 and 13 neat in appearance and well spoken as well. The associate looked to be about my age. Ive grown accustomed to such treatment from people of other racial or ethnic persuasions, (and I dont patronize those establishment either) but Ive never experienced such behavior from my own people. I was so mad I couldnt approach the individual because I wasnt sure if I could control my emotions. But neverthless I will never go back.

When the store first opened everyone was very nice, helpful and knew about the store. Now I drive 30 minutes to visit the store about twice a month and no one knows anything, no one acknowledges you are standing at the jewelry counter, and the cashiers or lack there of act as if you are a bother. I always greet them with a smile and ask how they are and never have I received a smile back. Id rather go to the one by Chesapeake Square Mall.

Purchased a duffle bag for my son 1st time he used it the side ripped out. I tried to return it and was told there was nothing they could do about it.. I didnt know they sold 2nd quality merchandise. ..beware...

The"Quality Control" person at the door gives a bad vibe and the store is not well stocked with good clothes, shoes, and home products like other Ross in the area.
