My initial visit was ok. Stacy assisted me with dresses and we were able to identify bridesmaid dresses and a flower girl dress as well. I could tell someone must have called out or Stacy wasnt happy as there were some whispers among her and co-worker and she seemed stressed. One of my girls went to a store in MA and the Bridesmaid dress was not in the system nor was the flower girl’s dress. When I went to pick up my dress the colored corset was not ordered by Stacy. They were kind enough to put in the order; I picked it up and didnt think the check the shade of purple. When I tried it on for my fitting it was the wrong shade and didn’t match the sash. I had to drive back out to Springfield to show them the color was incorrect. They re-ordered it for me and I asked if they would overnight it to me since this wasn’t my fault and I already had to drive out a second time because Stacy failed to put items in the system. I am waiting to see if the corporate office will approve the store to ship it to my house. I live 40 minutes away and gas isnt cheap. It has been over three weeks and I still have not heard from anyone. If they sent it 5 day overnight I would have had it by now for little to no cost to them. I worked in HR in the Customer Service industry for 5 years - and well their customer service gets a 1 star out of 5 for me. I was kind, patient and understanding - but what happened to the customer comes first and is always right. We are spending a lot of money with them - the least they can do is overnight the corset and be done with it.... I really hope I dont have to drive 40 minutes out of my way because they made two mistakes. Let’s just say they could have received 5 stars if they offered to overnight it to me and I received the corset. Instead I am very fed up and would advise people to go elsewhere. If you want to be treated like a princess… or just simply as a valued customer this is NOT the place for you.

Bridal salons are polarizing by nature, it seems - no matter the company or store location, its feast or famine when it comes to the experience. In my case, so far this has been an outstanding experience... I went in the first time without an appointment, and did not expect to have anyone help us because of course, a bridal salon is always booked with appointments - thats the nature of the business - but one of the staff did come to us in between running dresses for brides and try to answer questions we had. I called later to make an appointment for my MOH and me, and we had wonderful service - when one of the dresses I wanted to try wasnt on the racks, the associate found a sample in the back for me. When our appointment was running over, another associate stepped in - and this young lady works two jobs, and skipped her dinner break (which I did not know until after we finished) to help me try on a few last options. She was an absolute gem. Ive had zero problems with appointments, and received a phone call to notify me when bridesmaid dresses and accessories came in. My wedding dress hasnt arrived yet, so maybe things will go south in the future, but for now I have been delighted with the experience. I chose Alfred Angelo because Im a size 20, and they carry ALL wedding dresses in plus sizes, and most of their maids dresses up to size 32! The fabrics I find to be better quality than many of Davids, and they have almost twice as many colors for most dresses. Im having alterations done off-site for cost-reasons, so cant comment on that.. maybe thats something other brides should consider. Chain bridal salons only really have control over the supply chain itself - the ordering of the original dresses - the alterations, where the rubber meets the road - are out of their hands, and that seems to be a major issue. Just a thought.

My initial experience at AA was great. I had made a reservation online, but when I arrived, I was informed their system doesnt actually receive these request. However, the staff was very kind and able to accommodate me. I fell in love and bought my wedding dress. So, it just went downhill from here. I scheduled my fitting for alterations and arrived a bit early. My seamstress was Mira. She didnt spend as much time pinning or making notes as I would have liked, but the dress didnt need much so I didnt concern myself too much. Now comes the bad. A day before my final fitting, Mira called to cancel, stating a family emergency and asked to reschedule. I quickly agreed to three days later; emergencies happen. I arrive at my resecheduled date, but I wasnt on the calendar. Luckily, the seamstress did bring my dress even though she didnt inform the staff. She didnt even acknowledge me. The staff was kind and assisted me in putting my dress on and asking how it felt. Still... no Mira checking on her work. She attended to others, but never checked on me. There were a few things like a crease that still hadnt been steamed out and the strings in the shoulders werent removed like I had asked, but I could live with that. But then I asked for the leftover fabric. The staff asked Mira and she looked dumbfounded. So here I am pointing at the alteration form where she wrote in her own writing to Save Fabric and she didnt even apologize that she had no idea where it was. The manager was kind and tried to offer alternatives, but there is no alternative to the fabric from my wedding dress. Not even an apology. Buy a dress here, BUT DO NOT GET ALTERATIONS DONE HERE!

I would give this store no stars ifor I could. I have had so many issues with them. They do carry dresses that are beautiful and I love my dress after I finally got it. But getting to that point was tedious. I tried the dress on in white, but wanted to try it on in ivory too. They no longer had an Ivory sample and told me they could get it from another store and in my size within 1 week. I set up another appointment to try that dress on, but when the day came, they did not have the ivory sample. They gave me the run around saying they couldnt find a sample in my size and that samples dont come that small; even though they told me they did 1 week ago. I told them I didnt care about the size. It would have been nice to try on a dress that wasnt 10 sizes too big, but at this point I just wanted to pick the right color. 2 more weeks of phone calls, mostly me to them I finally tried on the ivory sample from another store. Now I am havING serious issues with the veil. I ordered it in mid January. They told me a few weeks. I called around Valentines Day for a update and was told my veil was not even shipping until February 26th. I just called again today wondering where on earth my veil is. I was told they have not received an update from the manufacturer about shipping. So I guess my veil is limbo. Meanwhile, I made an appointment for a fitting in 2 weeks and now may not have my veil to try on with the dress. Id you can avoid this store, do so at all costs.
