Drove 3.5 hours with a friend and his wife to look at a Nissan Xterra that East end was selling. We got there, and it seemed ok at first. The car was not clean, but that wasnt too big of a deal. They had the vehicle history report from Car-Fax, and that was also clean. We test drove it, and there were no "huge" issues with the car, but I noticed that the power steering choked up at times (OK at the moment, but I feel like it would be a big problem later). Also, the 4 wheel drive clunked quite a bit, which indicates a transfer box/case problem). Once we got back, I immediately noticed the smell of coolant coming from the engine bay. There were no visible leaks or smoke/steam, but I definitely smelled it. They changed the radiator cap on the spot, which was nice. I then crawled under the car and noticed that the drive shaft was completely rusted all the way back, as well as a few spots on the exhaust. I also noticed a slight oil leak, but couldnt identify the source. The car salesman played dumb (maybe he really didnt know, but that should be something that they know before they go putting the car up for sale). In the end, I said that I wouldnt buy the car for any less than 1,000 less than what he was asking for (given all the problems). He quickly apologized for wasting our time, and was very curt in shooing us away. That part probably pissed me off the most for several reasons: 1. He didnt even offer anything else; 2. I wasnt the one buying the car, my friend was, and he never asked my friend what he thought; 3. He couldnt care less about us as customers, and was instead focused on making the sale. He mentioned someone coming to look at it later, so Im assuming that he will be selling that guy the car with all of the problems. Sorry buddy, hope you know what to look for, and didnt buy the Xterra. All in all, typical salesman, with sub-par cars as far as I can tell. I would highly recommend staying away from this place unless you know quite a bit about cars, and can really vette the car before you purchase it from them.

OK folks. What do you need to do when buying a used car from an independent car lot? Never take anyones word for anything. Get everything, every promise, every warranty or guarantee, in writing on the sales contract. Only deal with establishments that will let you take the car to YOUR mechanic to give it a good check-up before purchasing. Make sure that the seller will give you a free, detailed CarFAX report. Double check condition, mileage and price against resources like Kelley Blue Book (always compare to "Fair" condition). You fail to do the above, you generally get what you deserve. My wife and daughter shopped around for a decent, affordable used car for our daughter. They looked at 10 cars or so, test driving 5 or 6, and bringing two home to our mechanic to get checked out. our mechanic (Ferbers) is excellent and they have a used car check process that they only charge $40 for. One car got an OK rating from Ferbers, and the other a strong thumbs up (a 2006 Chevy Cobalt from East End). We purchased the Cobalt and our daughter has been driving it for almost three years now. Other than routine stuff she has not had any problems with the car at all. By routine stuff, I mean things that you have to do with any car over a three year period: we did an alignment when purchasing it and cahngesd the oil & filter. have done a few light bulb replacements, did a coolant system flush (optional, our choice not knowing how old the coolant was), and put on new tires last year. My wife & daughter found the staff to be friendly. The car only had one key, and East End worked some magic to get another one (took a week or two). We would recommend to others based on our experience, and we would go there again if we needed another car.

I meant to write this review months ago....(these ppl writing reviews are friends of the dealers FYI) If your FEMALE... Please go with a male and have then check everything. I was sold a car with non working windshield wipers, couldnt adjusted side view mirrors- electrical was shot, rear view mirror was sold to me with a heavy film on it. Car had smog issued which was never inspected within the last year. Also when I approached them about the issues.. Not one person went out there way to help. One even said that it wasnt their obligation. Good to know that my 7k+ cash wasnt enough for CUSTOMER SERVICE. Im a very busy individual, I honestly took the word of a family member about this place. However, they never purchased from there which is why Im given the second star. Just check everything!!!! Oh yea.. The radio system sucks because the car antenna was not attached. I asked the company to have the inspection for the car before I came to puck it.. Instead I was pushed aside and never got an updated inspection, because of lack of communication they have in the office. Looks like everyone is for self..... CHECK EVERYTHING...... Overall, it hasnt even been a year and Ive already put $1500 worth of work.. SO CHECK EVERYTHING

I really dont get the people giving them 1 star. Maybe it was the salesmen they dealt with. I have bought my 4th vehicle from them and I deal only with Warren. I have never had any issues and when ever I needed to have any service done they always told me where to take to get it done at there cost. I actually just bought a 2001 Nissan Frontier for my daughter and it had a little leak after I bought it. Come to find out it was the rear main seal that needed to be replaced which they did free of charge. I have always been treated very good there and would recommend them to anyone. Keep in mind that you are buying a used vehicle with high mileage so you have to do your homework too. They have always allowed me to take the vehicle for a day. This gives you plenty of time to check it out or take it to a mechanic to have it checked before you buy. I love them and have always had a positive experience there.

After maybe 24 hours of purchasing my vehicle, the check engine light came on so I called them and asked them to check it out, so they scheduled me A WEEK later to get into the shop after which my catalytic converter had already failed on my way to work. They repaired it but still made me pay in order to have it replaced even though I put $5000 down with the promise of it being a reliable vehicle. And if thats not bad enough, a month later I went to get an oil change and they found ZIP TIES under my hood for easy 25 cent fixes! No one else has touched my car since they had worked on it so it couldve only been East Ends shop mechanics. And now Im driving the same car, not even a year later with the same check engine light code on. Wouldnt be surprised if they sold me a junk yard catalytic converter. Advice: DO NOT buy from this place. Horrible people.

Ive bought 6 vehicles from this dealership and have never had any issues with them. My last truck I bought I had for 5 years and just bought another truck from them. They answered all my questions and gave me the vehicle history report when I was applying for the loan. Always have been spoken to and treated nicely by the entire staff. Cant say enough nice things about my experience with them and it is why I continue to buy my vehicles from them. I think most people complain when things dont go there way and expect a new vehicle when in fact your buy used and all things cant be foreseen. Even after paying off my cars with there easy financing Ive been able to come back and have my vehicles services and repaired there cheaper then I could else where. They want to make you a costumer for life not just for a sell!!
