I had the misfortune of walking into this location! I have been to the Duck Donuts in Short Pump and thought they would be same helpful friendly staff but I was dead wrong. First off my donuts were cold and made wrong, I ordered 5 donuts and they only got one right (dont know how you mess up a glazed donut but they did). Secondly, when I talked the person calling himself the manager, a scruffy looking guy with tattoos up and down his arms, he told me he would remake them and let me have the wrong ones on the house, normally I would be happy with that but his tone and eye rolling while I talked to him told me he didnt care and was just spitting out the company motto! Third, while I was waiting for my new donuts I had the pleasure of listen to the "manager" talk down to his staff like they were in the 2nd grade about how to make donuts correctly, the best part about this is he was the one who made my donuts wrong in the first place. Other then that the store was dirty, crumbs over the floor, trash all over the counter and the tables had empty boxes on them. The staff all look slightly homeless with dirty clothing. If you are looking for a donut and in the area just go to krispy kream across the street!

Donuts customized and made fresh to order? Doesnt get much better than that. The staff was so friendly and does well at helping with flavor combinations. The location is great and the facility is clean! The donuts are some of the best Ive ever had. The maple glaze with bacon was by far my favorite. I like that you have the option of buying as many as you want even if its just one. There are a few tables inside if you want a quick bite without leaving. I will be back for more! Theres a large parking lot in this location so that shouldnt be a problem. Its a great place to take visitors or out of towners that have never been!

Duck Donuts offers freshly made cake donuts topped with the customers choice of select toppings. Go basic with a glazed or get creative! Individual donuts, half dozen, and a dozen can be ordered at reasonable prices. There is a selection of coffee and other beverages. Milk too! The staff when we visited was all teenage guys. They may have accidentally bleached their uniform t-shirts but they were friendly and made our order correctly.

Do not shop up right at closing time. 6:58PM (yes I should have been earlier was going to TropSmooth though) Door was still unlocked they turned the light off as I walked up & were still ringing up a customer when I walked in, still refused to provide service. Definitely not a good first experience at the Richmond location. Not nearly as customer friendly as the Nags Head locations.

Fantastic Donuts. They make them fresh and put the toppings on after you have ordered them. It means that often youll have to wait for your donut, but it will be hot and exactly to your liking when you get it... Duck Donuts is a chain... Ive been to and enjoyed others which are indistinguishable as far as reviewing the experience.

Love the ones located in other cites. First time at the Richmond location. Customer Service was similar to McDonalds, donuts were not sitting around for at least an hour, staff was polite but not friendly. Seemed disorganized. Sadly it might just be the fault of success. Another great place that is now marginal..

These doughnuts are cooked fresh and delicious. I knew about DD from living in Va Bch. and was happy they are now in the RVA area. I do not like Sugar shack. Sometimes there is beauty in simplicity. Country Style donuts are too doughy for me.Be mindlful you can not get filled donuts here otherwise would be 5 star.

They have great donuts. But I have been in three times in three months and every time there is a technical issue that means I cant get donuts. I dont drive an hour for donuts because its a pretty drive. Rude people that simple said systems down cant help you.

Me and my kids have only been to this shop twice its now one of our favorite sweet spots. We Love this place. The staff is nice,the place is clean and homey feeling and to save the best for last the doughnuts are absolutely AMAZING, DELICIOUS and FRESH.

Wow!!! Yes, these are better than the others....you know the place with the light on, lol. Seriously awesome custom donuts, great staff, and great location. Make sure to try the maple bacon with salted caramel....Love at first bite!!!!

Very cozy interior, with tables and booths available. Clean everywhere, including the bathrooms. Donuts are good. Crayons and coloring paper is available for children to keep themselves entertained. Very family friendly location.

What else can you say about donuts freshly made to your order with the toppings applied right before they go into your package? Not much. They are cake-style donuts, so if thats not your taste, youve been warned.

Excellent! Love those Duck Donuts. Made to order cake donuts in so many flavors and varieties: French toast, cinnamon bun, Almond Joy, Reeses, lemon, strawberry, etc. My new favorite donut spot in Richmond.

Definitely a wait but TOTALLY worth it. The donuts are made like a cake batter. All different flavored but not overly crazy. Not s ton of icing or anything like that. One of my favorite donut shops for sure!

Amazing donuts! They are made fresh to order average price 1.20 but completely worth it! Went in the morning and cashier was very knowledgeable and have me a quick breakdown. Delicious will be back!

Wonderful donuts that you create yourself. Pick your toppings in 3 easy steps. This was a maple glazed with bacon. They did not skimp on the bacon either as you can see. This was delicious!!
