I recently got engaged. I was excited and of course wanted everything to be perfect, especially the ring. I get anxious about big decisions and this certainly qualified. As I began my search to figure out where I would purchase the ring from, I was inundated with ads and salespeople. Most were nice, but did not offer a level of comfort that made me want to move forward in the process with them. I quickly got over some of the larger jeweler chains. Not to say there is anything wrong with them, but I found a lot of their engagement ads and sales pitches very cheesy. Since it was such a big decision and purchase I did my due diligence. I visited several stores around the Richmond area and did research online. After several weeks of searching I walked in to Dransfield Jewelers. It was instantly appealing to me. It was small and there were not a bunch of people bombarding me with questions and sales pitches. By the time I left that day, I knew that I would be back soon to move forward in the process. Everyone that I talked to and worked with to create the engagement ring was a real pleasure to deal with throughout. They listened to the ideas of what I wanted. Showed me examples of various rings and diamonds. Also, they worked around my budget which was a particularly important thing for me. Ultimately, I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I am not sure if it was because of the size of the shop, the demeanor of the people, or the fact that there were a few VT connections we had in common (which I found out after I had decided to move forward with them), but I know that the biggest reason I chose Dransfield Jewelers is because they made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I walked out to make one of the biggest decisions of my life, I was pleased with the service and product they delivered. I am sure that I will make future purchases there as well. They even gave me a call the other day to wish me Happy Holidays, and told me to come by whenever I get a chance and pick up a bottle of wine. They certainly did not have to do that. I was already happy with them, but it is a thoughtful gesture that made me feel even better about my decision. Thank you Dransfield Jewelers.

I knew I wanted to get a custom ring for my proposal and that I wanted it made locally so I started looking online. Dransfield Jewelers immediately stuck out to me because of their amazing reviews and the images of their fantastic work online, it also turned out a friend of mine from college worked there. I worked with Rose on my ring and she was amazing. She helped me find options that were well within my budget without compromising my vision. She was easy to work with, her designs were excellent and she understood and incorporated my ideas and feedback seamlessly. We worked mostly over email and she was fast, responsive and answered any and all questions. For someone very ignorant of the process and industry she was patient and helped me through the entire thing. She even arranged to drop off the ring for me when I was unable to get to the store before a holiday. In the end we created a ring my fiancee adores and we got it resized for her in just a few days. I could not be happier with my experience and everyone who sees the ring is wowd by it and we tell them exactly where we got it.

Five stars! I visited Dransfield when I was shopping for an engagement ring this year. From the moment I walked in the door I was impressed. The folks that work here are real people, not dressed up salesmen like you see in the big box stores. They were nothing but nice to work with, not pushy at all, and truly interested in making sure I got what I was looking for. The lady I worked with asked me in detail what I wanted, and even pulled out several catalogs of settings so I could flip though and pick out EXACTLY the designs I was interested in. She then ordered in the setting I wanted along with numerous stones so I could see them in person. I went back and sat down with the owner of the store for several hours and physically built the ring. He explained everything carefully, helped me choose the perfect combination of stones (even when it wasnt the most expensive), and best of all, worked with me on the price until we both felt comfortable. I can happily say that my fiance LOVED the ring, and we will DEFINITELY be back to look at wedding bands.

My boyfriend proposed to me on Friday night, but the ring was too small. We were spending the weekend at the Omni Hotel, so on Saturday morning, we looked for a nearby jewelry store to take the ring to to see if it could be re-sized. We found Dransfield Jewelers within walking distance and could not have been more pleased with the service that we received. They were able to resize the ring from a 5 1/2 to a 6 1/2 that very same afternoon for a very reasonable price. They were excited about our engagement and completely understood my not wanting to be without my ring for any longer than necessary. They did a fabulous job! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Awesome experience! Out of 5 diamond stores I have been to in Richmond, this one is the best. I went in for a diamond appraisal that I purchased online. The owner walked me through step by step each phase of the appraisal and I got to see and believe myself what I had payed for. In the end, he was completely honest with me in saying my purchase had not been a bad one, instead of making me feel guilty for buying online. Although we did not do business on the purchase of this diamond, you can bet that I will be back in the future. I highly recommend to anyone in the market for an engagement ring to stop here first.

I found Dransfield Jewelers when my grandmother gave me an antique ring three weeks before our wedding, and I wanted to get the diamonds re-set as a wedding band. Dransfield was the only custom jeweler that seemed confident that they could have the wedding band done in time. Not only that, but I decided not to move forward with the ring and changed my mind less than a week before our wedding. Kristen still made it happen--she ordered a band, had it delivered, and set my diamonds in three days. She also worked with me to make sure I came in within our budget. The ring turned out gorgeous!!
