Brian Bruno was excellent! I had been wanting to get a new tattoo for a few years and had been looking around the internet at various shops and their sites. After visiting several area shops and walking away unimpressed, I was referred to Brian Bruno. I actually had another artist from a different shop recommend Brian at Absolute Art which really surprised me since they compete for the same business. I visited Absolute Art and met with Brian for a consultation and he seemed to be very genuine and I felt confident he was the right person for the tattoo I wanted. I started my Half-Sleeve tattoo in December of 2010 and finished in the early summer of 2011 after 5 or 6 sessions. I am the proud new owner of a Koi Sleeve tattoo and couldnt be happier. I am very picky and wanted quality work and feel that I got what I expected from Brian. I believe in the old saying that "You get what you pay for" and will be going back to Brian again. I have been to two other tattoo places USA tattoo and RED dragon tattoo. Both of which have better tattoo artists and dont steal your deposit. In fact red dragon didnt even take a deposit. Lastly when I canceled a week ahead of my appointment time btw they denied me my deposit. So I asked dos they start on it yet by which they said no. So I gave them 50 dollars to take 50 dollars from me and talk with me for 10 minutes. Just drive an extra ten minutes to a different tattoo place

I have had a few tattoos done by Mike Rennie at Absolute Art, and I would definitely recommend him and the shop to anyone looking for a tattooer in Richmond. All of my tattoos by Mike are really bright and colorful, and people are always remarking about how awesome they look. The guys up front are really helpful, and great about calling you back and getting you in for an appointment. I also really like the atmosphere at the shop. Definitely go check them out.

Great first tattoo experience! Got me in quickly (on a holiday, no less!) & was in & out in a flash & Keith worked with me on editing my reference picture & did a great job tattooing. I was kind of wary of coming because the reviews were lower than some of the other places I had looked at, but the staff was super accommodating & very friendly & made me feel comfortable to use them. Highly recommend.

Joshua was my tattoo artist, and did exactly what I wanted at the perfect price! I would return to him for more tats, but the studio didnt seem clean; air vents in the waiting room were filthy, and the pad used to wrap my tat was cut from what he had in his lap. Otherwise, the work was outstanding, perfect at a great price!

I was going get my tattoo on the day they had scheduled me, but they postponed it the next week. That was fine with me at first, then I came again the next week. They had postponed it again!! They said theyd try to contact me, but they didnt. Ridiculous!! Im going somewhere else.

You can get tattooed by anyone here and get way more than you expected! Extremely talented tattooers and friendly people. The process was hassle-free and they are always great about working with my availability. Ive sent all my friends and family to them!

They were fine and then I sat down and got my tattoo and it is horrible its Roman numerals and they are different sizes not in line and the second to last number isnt even connected
