Always a great time getting what I need (or mostly want). Im not to sure why the few bad reviews, especially the one from "MIKE HUNT". I think his name says it all! If you are looking to wander around and hold every gun you see, try Gander Mountain or Dicks. those guys get paid by the hour to just answer questions and let you fondle the merchandise while your wife is Bra shopping! When you know what you want, just ask the owner (he is a one man operation), and you will find that the prices are ridiculously cheap compared to Loudoun guns and the big box sporting goods stores. If you try to haggle due to a cheaper price on "Cheaper than dirt", remember that that price does not include shipping or FFL transfer fees! If you are looking to sell, dont go in looking to get the same money you over paid for. Everyone is in business to make a profit. if you dont like the offer you get, try a pawn shop! (you will get even less). This store has got to be the coolest "old school" gun shop around. basically, if you go in and waste his time, you will be treated appropriately!

The owner of this shop is one of the most *demeaning, smart-alecks* Ive ever met in a gun shop. I asked the owner a gun-related question and he comes back with this sarcastic, "what an idiot you are" kind of answer. With this arrogant, sarcastic smirk, he looked over to his friend and asked, "Now, how do I answer this one?" Then he said to me, "What kind of dumb question is that?" If youre a fairly new person around guns, is there really ever a "dumb" question?? I dont think so. So my advice to anyone looking to buy a gun and/or ammo is...make the trip out to Leesburg or Winchester. **DONT GO** to this guys shop if you want to be treated like a valued customer. If you want to be treated like your a *piece of garbage*, by all means head over. I will never give this shop any more of my business.

Better prices than Loudoun Guns, Blue Ridge Arsenal and other shops in the Leesburg/Dulles area. I can see how some can be put off by the owner (imagine a young Archie Bunker running a gun shop) but I like the guy and make most of my purchases there. If you need touchy-feely and super friendly service, youll probably hate it. If you are used to the dynamics of the good-old-boy gun shop, you will have no problems. If you are on the fence, Id say give it a try - the prices are good and he has a surprisingly large assortment of firearms for a one man shop. However, if you are willing to pay $50-$100+ more for the same gun but would prefer service with a helpful smile, go to Loudoun Guns.

Im not really sure as what people are saying in their comments. Really,...I called the store & was looking for a single barrel shotgun and was looking for a specific model. The owner knew exactly what I was looking for and there was no BSing. He told me the price over the phone which by the way was cheaper than other three stores (1 in MD and 2 in VA) and made sure if he had it in stock. Very quick and easy transaction. I drove 20 Miles to his place and the gun was ready for me! This guy knows his stuff. Im really glad that I actually went there and wasnt discouraged by some of the comments that I had read online. A on my book and Im definitely buying my next gun from Him..

I was a little reluctant to go here based on some of the one star reviews that I saw on yellow pages, but decided to check it out anyway because a few other shops didnt sell Kimber products. Overall, I had a great experience here. The owners know what products they have and were friendly, courteous, and respectful. I found the pricing here to be pretty fair and competitive, and would recommend to anyone in the market to purchase a firearm to check out their shop.

Love shopping at the store. was in last week and he has far more inventory than any other shop in the area. he has some of the best deals in the area nad some are even better than what you can get on the internet. his case pricing on ammo is even cheaper than what you can get at walmart. Great guy and fun to shop. will always be going there from know on.

I was so pleased to see that other people had terrible experiences with this guy as well and that I was not alone. He is honestly one of the rudest people I have ever met and thinks he is Gods gift to Earth. I beg you to stay away from this prick and teach him the value of customer service and respect for others.

Pretty tight and cramps place, but mostly that is because of the inventory. I would not call this place a browsing store. If you know what you are looking for, they know if they have it or not. They do have some pretty awesome historical pieces in inside too! Side note, he does sell glue blue label/gssf :)

Bring Life-Savers, cream mint flavor. Or lunch. Both will get you faster service! To be honest. Purcells is a great shop. Dale is cool. The past 15 times ive been in there I havnt bought a thing and he hasnt thrown me out yet!!

The prices cant be beat and selection is pretty awesome considering its a small store. Its got a hometown feel which is very nice! This is going to be my go-to gun and accessory shop in the future!
