HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHAT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION? I quit shopping at Walmart, Because this particular store treats people so bad. The wait to check out is a minimum of 30 minutes at various times throughout the day. I have been there at every different time, from 7 am to 2 am and no matter when I go there, the service is always bad and the checkout lines are always slow and long. The photo processing staff is rude to customers. I have witnessed them ignoring customers and not being helpful. You have to ask them for a cd for every cd you burn for your pictures and wait forever to get their attention. I have spent over $1000 on processing various aerial advertising pictures for my business only to have been treated like crap by the staff. When I asked for a manager, the manager took 10 minutes to get there and then failed to handle the lack of customer service and poor attitudes of their staff. The return line is always an hour. I notice a huge long line at the return desk each time I have gone there. There is always one angry person in line who has been waiting at least an hour, who asks for a manager. Ironically, when you exit the walmart, you will normally see the same people standing in the same place in the return line as when you walked into the walmart. The supervisors at times take up to 15 minutes to walk up to a customer after a customer asks for a manager to resolve an issue. The employees do not know where products in the store are located and fail to show you where they are. I have been routed all over the store several times to find one item. I used to spend all my money at Walmart, shopping for groceries, beauty products, household products, shoes, photography processing, and office supplies when I lived in Chicago, IL and Florida and Staunton, VA. BUT, since I moved next to this walmart, that the locals commonly refer to as HELL MART I quit shopping at Walmart altogether. It is common knowledge amongst the many who reside in Norfolk, who have lived elsewhere (this is a transient community due to the military influence) that this is THE WORST WALMART THEY HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I think I have heard at least 50 different people say that sentence. I have shared my frustrations with the Corporate office to NO AVAIL and the employees at this store say that the management at this particular store doesnt really care about customer service. Isnt it funny that Walmarts executives are in Asia worried about the customer satisfaction at the many Asian Walmarts, and have so severely neglected the local AMERICA stores they KNOW are problematic and destroying their reputation? This particular walmart should take down all the smiley faces and just have screw the customer signs everywhere instead.

From a product standpoint I guess this Walmart is pretty average. But I witnessed something tonight that made me rethink ever shopping at a Walmart at midnight. As with most 24 hour stores, around the stroke of midnight all of the cash registers have to be restarted for the new work day. This of course causes a short inconvenience for the customers. But its usually nothing big. What makes the procedure at this Walmart a bit disturbing, and quite dangerous, is that the assistant manager walks from register to register and removes all of the cash. He puts the cash in little zippered containers. I was at the last register in the line, so by the time he reached my register he had a stack of little blue zippered containers filled with cash. But how much cash might there actually be in one of those little blue containers , you might ask? At my register there was at least $5,000 in cash. When the assistant manager lifted the cash drawer out he revealed a pile of $20, $50, and $100 bills. There were at least a couple hundred of them. Right in front of all of the customers he grabbed this enormous stack of cash and he stuck it in the blue bag. Everyone in line witnessed. But of course there must have been a team of armed guards, right? Anyone carrying that much cash in the open around in the store at midnight must certainly be armed right? Well, no, not at all. In fact, the security guard had a squeezy football in his left hand, like one of those stress-relieving squeezy things. As I glanced around slightly in fear, I noticed that two of the customers in line did indeed have guns. Because, Virginia is an open carry state. Anyone can carry a gun in the state of Virginia. That is anyone except a rental security guard who was not authorized to carry a gun. The reason all of this is so important to the average Shopper is that any store with this poor a security plan puts all of the customers and employees at Great Danger. Even if a robbery was unsuccessful, many customers and workers would be injured or even killed if a lunatic, or any of those gun-toting customers, decided to try to get out with the thousands of dollars in cash. There are so many better ways that the midnight close out of business could have been conducted that would not have exposed the customers to the cash.

So I chose to do the Wal-Mart Grocery pickup, since I hurt my foot and couldnt walk. I ordered last night online and scheduled to pick up this morning. I leave to get there and try calling several times to let them know if be there in about 15-20 min so theyd have my things ready. Finally. Someone answers and snaps at me to hold. Ok...i park on the pick up area and wait a couple min. The guy comes up and takes my name and gets my groceries. He comes to my window and says there are 7 or 8 items that are out of stock. I ask him if they can replace them with a different brand since the policy is to give you something else in place of that item of equal or greater value if they dont have that exact one. He says they dont do that...yea you do...it says so on the grocery order site. I didnt get replacements. He loaded up my groceries, which I was thankful for. Then, after he was done I told him thanks and he went to talk to the next pickup customer. He left the metal trolley behind my car and its shorter than my car so it wasnt visible. Im glad I backed up slow because I hit it...he pulled it aside and told me to back up and I left. Needless to say, i had to go to another store with a hurt foot I cant walk on to get the items that were missing...luckily there was no damage to my car. Not happy.

I will most likely never go to this location again, customer service sucks and the placement of pricing is off. I was there a couple weeks ago to buy a few things and when I got to the register one of the things rang up for 24.99 which was 5.00 more expensive then the tag under it said.So I told the cashier the tag said 19.99 and when I did she kind of rolled her eyes and said " Well thats not what it rings up as". I asked if we could do a price check and she made a loud moan then turn her light on to flashing which after 10+ min the manager or leader came over and was like whats going on? which the cashier was like " Well he says, the tags said 19.99 but it rang up as 24.99", with a really condescending attitude. Then the manager turns to me with a real nonchalant look and say " Oh it was probably in the wrong spot, did I look at the price tags to make sure it was for that product. Then she was like well ill go look. Then after standing there for 10 more minutes I went to check myself and found the manger just standing there talking to some other employee about what they were going to do that weekend so I just left.
