Im have always liked PetSmart, but today was way beyond what Ive ever experienced!! My grandson just came home from being in residential treatment and we were there to purchase starter fish for his tank. My card wasnt working for some reasons and I wasnt able to cover the small balance after my grandson paid almost all of it with his allowance. I asked the clerk to remove two items that would have brought the purchase down to what his allowance could have covered. Before I realized what was happening, another clerk stepped in and covered his balance!!! I almost cried right there!!! She has no clue how very much this means to my grandson and our family in general!! God Bless her and I did thank her once I realized what was happening!! There are so many good people out there and this really helped retire my faith in them!!

This store has major lack of communication with its customers. When booking an appointment and I told them that my dog was going in for shot the day before the appointment. They DIDNT tell me that I would have to wait 48 hours to bring her in. So i get there at 7 am and then they tell me its policy and they cant groom her. When I explained to them that nobody mentioned that to me they said "Yeah, nothing we can do". I saw the Manager on the way out and told her what happened. She said "Wow, yeah thats policy". What about the fact that your staff doesnt tell your customers about your "NEW" POLICY. At this point I would rather drive to any other store for my pet needs then EVER step foot into this PetSmart!!!!!

Staff is not knowledgeable to handle dogs . My border collie would not stand for them so they descrimated against me and my dog and refused to wash my dog . I was stunned I could see if a dog was big and aggressive but they cant get a dog to stand . Come on took my dog to the groomer down the street and they handled her fine they lost both my animals and the bad thing is they been there many times just this location is descriminating on what dogs they do and dont . If you arent knowledgeable enough to do dogs then find another job or close the grooming part down . Very hurt both my wife and I and they cursed my dog . I couldnt believe it

i had purchased a dog training collar. realizing that my dog was not of the termperment that i wanted to use it on him, i tried to return it and because i had lost the receipt it was not allowed and i could not even get a store credit because it was over a $$100.00. they did not mind taking my money (over $100.00) nor have they minded taking all the money i have spent there. i will now have to reacess patronizing this store for my pet needs and advise my friends of this situtation. barbara t

Great dog trainer Sandy have a "high energy" Brittany Spaniel puppy she gave lots of advice understands what works and doesnt mind questions. Made the classes full of information and fun. My puppy got tired at the end class and instead of staying with a dropped leash and me walking away climbed onto the bottom shelf where the pet beds were and went to sleep. I wiuld definitely recommend her for dog training and she hasvAKC training experience. Cant say enouvh about her.

I shop at the Pet Smart in Mechanicsville. I have been so pleased with the service I have received from Joe Green. He is very knowledgeable, personable and takes the time needed to ensure that I feel good about my purchase of fish. A while back, I was having issues with my tank clouding up and lost five fish in one day. I put to use some advice he gave and I am glad to say that I did not lose not another fish. He is an asset to Pet Smart...I hope they appreciate him.

I was lost, alone and afraid. I didnt know where I was, but in darkness emerged a kind gentle giant (for me) he took my hand and showed me the the way. He showed me to the dog food isle, he showed me the many varieties. With such incredible charisma I bought the bag he highly recommended. I dont even have a dog. I hope to see PetSmart employ more big guys like the hero who helped me today. He had no name. Once an associate, now a friend :).

The girl doing the grooming when we took our dog there was really impatient with him, even though we told them he was old and blind. I saw her yank his leash REALLY hard and yell at him for running into a cage. I took him from her right then and there and never went back. Id rather go somewhere where they have SERIOUS ACTION STEPS for TAKING CARE of your animals.

Just got our 4 month old puppy Sampson groomed for the first time by Ashley. She was awesome! He looks great and she took her time as he clearly didnt want to be there. We really appreciate her great work and will definitely go again. Thanks for your patience Ashley! Amy & Wayne p.s so glad we didnt depend on previous reviews before going in.

Although I live further away from this Petsmart, it is my go to for all my pet needs. The employees are attentive and knowledgeable, the store is clean, they have a wide array of products to choose from, and it is always an overall great experience.

A great variety of pet food and supplies. Theres even a vet and pet grooming there. Everything you need for all different types of pets. Prices are better than grocery store and Target
