I have been a customer at Total Wine for over 10 years now and generally make a trip to this store for my major stock up shopping events. They have a HUGE selection of wines and beer that is sure to satisfy most wine customers. The selection is generally overwhelming to even the best of the wine enthusiasts. I have build up a list of my favorite wines over the years, but I generally like to get recommendations from the wine sommelier employees and have yet to be disappointed. My usual MO is to browse the store aimlessly for 15-20 minutes and get seriously overwhelmed by the selection. Then I generally get someone to help me (Mary, James, etc) fill my shopping cart with excellent recommendations. The second part generally takes under 5 minutes and I am off to the races! I am not a cigar smoker but my friends have good thing to say about that too!

I went there today (7.13.11) to stock up for an office event. I spent several hundred dollars & asked the cashier for the customary 5% discount. I did not bring my weekly email with me. Her answer - No. So I asked for the manager. His answer - "No. All the coupons expired on Sunday." He went on & on about why I couldnt have a discount. I stopped listening at No. Instead of the manager putting forth some customer goodwill for a lousy $5, it became a test of wills, and I have to get on a computer to write a bad review. It really is a shame b/c I like Total Wines great selection. But their customer service obviously could use a refresher course.

Was able to buy a pair of excellent Riedel crystal Champagne glasses at this store when I needed them right away and could not buy anywhere else. Very attentive and knowledgeable stuff. Their wine is well taken care of. Great selection of champagnes, for any taste and budget. Also of note is their choice of Sauternes. Total Wine, the parent local chain, seems to be dealing directly with Château Suduiraut and offers a broad line up of their vintages - a terrific value IMO.

Unfortunately I have a saying about this particular store "it never fails to disappoint." The staff is super friendly, the selection is good, its just not typical "Total Wine" good. Each of the three times Ive been here in the last month they havent had the specific beer or wine I was looking for, something that never occurred in their Florida stores or the one Pennsylvania store Ive been to. I dont know why that is but its a bummer because I am a fan of the chain.

Its one of the bigger Total Wines Ive been to and they have a great and wide selection. The thing that makes this place great is their great selection of wines, beer, including their imported and local selections too. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the specials they have in stock and their inventory. Most of them know what youre looking for if you ask!

Dont be fooled by the name - Total Wine has WAY more than just wine. This place has probably the best craft beer selection of any store in the area, and they let you mix and match singles to make your own six pack. The staff knows their stuff and are able to give great recommendations. The prices are reasonable too. Ive also purchased some kegs here for a New Years party!

Great spot meet your beer and wine needs. For some reason, this one seems to be better stocked than some of the others, especially in terms of imported beer selection. Its stock of Virginia wines is always excellent as well. There have been times where Ive seen something at a wine festival, but waited to purchase because I know that I can often find it here.

Total Wine & More has the best selection and prices on beer & wine in Virginia. If you find a lower price they will match it. Ive been introduced to wines at all price points that I would never have know about without this store. Its my go-to place for picking up wine for gifts & dinner parties. Easy parking & convenient hours.

Friendly and helpful staff. I always love visiting Total Wine. They have a great selection. Most wines are their private labels (direct imports) with lower prices than you would find elsewhere. I have fun exploring their selections and Ive found many amazing wines at different price points.

Amazing variety. Surprisingly did not see that many hipsters but saw a couple of angry moms dangerously maneuvering their carts with one arm while yanking their childrens arms with the other arm to hurry home and have a drink. Seriously, this place is amazing if you like trying new beers.

95% of the wines that I have bought here have been BAD...some of them really bad; you can even tell from the cork once you open the wine. I have tried different selections, but the outcome has been the same. Even for their highly rated wines...the outcome has been the same :(

Their wine selection is great but I typically go here to get unique bottles of beer. They have an excellent selection and the prices are reasonable. You can also often get extra discounts through various different websites and by signing up for their mailing list.

A week before Christmas and its a busy Friday night. A gentleman was super nice and helpful in finding the wine that I was looking for. He even climbed a ladder to find the box that it was in. Im incredibly grateful since I am leaving for the holiday this evening.

Massive wine shop in McLean thatll do the trick. Some of the staff here arent as friendly as the Total Wines Ive visited in Laurel, MD, or in Washington state, but they probably live in Virginia, which could explain their attitude.

I was on my way for dinner and I remembered to get a bottle of wine .. I google the nearest wine store, total wine pop up .. From now on , this store is going to be the only wine store for me . The price is way reasonable!

Its ok but they send coupons 10 per cen off beer ON single packs why can it be honored on suite case of 36 packs you would think you should get discount so I think ithis is just to drag you .

Huge. Huge. Huge. But the service seemed oddly pompous for a warehouse environment. The prices were a bit high as well. However, if you just want a truck load of wine, this is the place.
