21st Street: Incredibly cluttered, unorganized, and employees are rude. I went in for a six pack and found myself having bumped into a shin-level bottle of Wild Turkey in a "display", mid-isle, knocking it to the floor and breaking it. I initially offered to pay the cost of the bottle (thinking half price). The liquor store employees (old dude and nerdy guy) tried to shake me down for nearly the whole price, telling me their manager was out at a concert and that there was no way they could meet me in the middle. The more I protested, the more aggressive, rude and condescending they became. One demanded I tell him my age, then berated me for being younger, then, the other attempted to guilt me into paying full price, saying that he would personally have to pay full price for the bottle if I didnt – which Im sure isnt true, or legal. Then, the first one began swearing at me while the other suggested I be choked by the neck until I pay. They finally angrily kicked me out while I was STILL trying to pay them. Ive been a loyal Davis Liquor customer since I turned 21 years old (even if thats only 4 years), I even drove one of their employees home last month, who I didnt know, just because it was raining. Sadly, Ill never be back. 13th Street: awesome.

Great selection. Went in to get boxed wine for a pool party and they had exactly what we wanted. Plenty of cooled bottles and boxes for those that dont want to wait. Staff was friendly and professional. Store was super clean and well lit. Would definitely purchase from them again!

If you dont know exactly what you want, then just ask the staff. Everything is reasonably priced. Best liquor store in the riverside and north end area.
