Worst shop Ive ever been to. And Ive worked at a lot of shops. I had pep boys install a hard brake line. First thing that bothered me was that i was given an eta of 3 pm the next day. I get there at 330 and they are just then pulling my car onto the lift. So i drive the car for a month and lose brakes on I95 nearly resulting in the death of myself and 2 other people. All the fluid drained out of the master cylinder due to an undertorqued fitting. A thourough visual inspection verifies no other leaks in the system. I get the car to pep boys again and I tell them I want a refund on the labor. The manager outright refuses. Note that my appt was at 11 and it took them almost 3 hours just to pull my car in. And they had to put it on the alignment rack. He tightens the fitting. One tech is under the car looking for leaks while another is in the vehicle deliberately thwomping the brake pedal until ANOTHER one of my brake lines explodes due to the abuse. He shows me the leak and says that the line that just blew up 3 seconds ago was the one that caused my loss of brakes the day before. They kick it out of the bay and basically tell me im screwed. I will be sure to tell everyone i know not to take their car to any pep boys for any reason

This Pepboys customer service is terrible. I have been a customer for several years and recently it has declined. We had our Chevy Impala service for new tires and after our new tires were put on the car started making a loud running noise. We took it back to Pepboys and they claimed they did not hear any noise. My husband took the technician on a test drive with him and then he admitted hearing a noise. He stated that nothing was still wrong with the car and that it could possibly be an axel going bad, but until it was completely bad they couldnt do anything about it. So, we took the car to a Chevy dealerships I have it checked out and they stated that there was no issue except Pepboys sold us bad tires. With that information we took the car back to Pepboys and had them replace our "new" tires we purchased from them. When they replaced he tires they all of the sudden discovered the bad axel and hub (within less then a month when they told us nothing could be found). We paid to have the axel and hub repaired and upon my request to drive the car before paying for the service the technician was rude and hesitant to answer my questions about the service done on the car. Needless to say, if any other issues arise we will no longer be using Pepboys.

I have to say that this was the best customer service I have gotten in a long time at an auto shop. I called Pep Boys for a tire quote and they gave me the cheapest quote and what they thought would be the best for my car. Of course I called four other auto shops and asked for what they recommended. After doing my research on the tires, Pep Boys definitely had the best review on tires. I got tires on my car about 3 days ago and my ride to work in Manassas has never been as quiet as it is now. These are the best tires I have ever gotten on my car. While at the shop, it was kind of cold outside, so I hung out inside the front. While I waited the last few minutes for my last tire to be put on. The people at the front were so nice and friendly. I did not feel out of place or uninvited. I will definitely be back to Pep Boys for future auto needs. Please give them a chance and write good reviews, NOT just the bad things. While being in the front I saw a few happy faces leaving and I also saw the guys up front go a few extra miles for some customers. Great jobs guys!

I have been to this facility a couple of times. The first time was because my heat would not come on. I was told (after waiting in the cold lobby for 2 hours for an oil change) that I would need to replace the entire heat pump for about $400. I did a Google search and found that it was common for my car to blow a fuse. I replaced the $10 fuse my self (I noticed they had removed my old fuse), and my heat came on. Saved $390 by not using pep boys. I took my other car in for what I assumed was a loose hydraulic belt because it was squealing. I told the agent at the desk of my concerns. I was told that I would need to replace the entire hydraulic pump. I took the car to another mechanic, he tightened the belt for me, and have not had a problem since. Either the people that work at this pep boys are liars, or downright idiots. I have saved literally hundreds of dollars by going elsewhere. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The waiting room is small and cold, the wi-fi is terrible while you wait, and trust me you will be waiting, a long long long time.

The first time I used this facility was for a tire change on my van. every single bolt on the van was over torqued. This was discovered when I backed off one of the lugs to find out had completely torn the threads off of the stud. My first course of action was to call the store, where I was asked what did I want done, as long as I could prove it was them. You have to be kidding me. Fast forward, learning from the previous experience of the "mechanics" who improperly set/use their tools, I determined that they will never touch my vehicle again. I would remove the tire and bring it in and reinstall myself. However, this next time around the shift supervisor from the service section didnt know how to work the system to pull my order. All the while I got to listen to some hardcore rap cussing up a storm in the shop area. Until these "mechanics" begin to work as professionals, there is no way I can be convinced to let them do anything on my vehicles. This store has damaged my van and has unprofessional staff. Avoid them.

I made an appointment after ordering 4 cooper E load tires and was told once I got there it would be an hour and a half because they were "busy". So I went and ate lunch at a nearby restaurant and came back after an hour and a half to find my truck sitting untouched. Finally get them to move it into the shop and they break the tires down to find out that they in fact ordered non LT Passenger tires, which will not work for on my 3/4 ton truck. When I called and ordered them I specifically asked and confirmed that they were 10 ply E load tires. They made every excuse as to how I misunderstood. They tried to sell me some no name tires that just happen to be in stock and E load, I had them put the same tires back on and that took another hour and a half... waited 3 hours WITH an appointment. Biggest waste of my Sunday afternoon and I still have to go somewhere else to get tires.
