Last week, while out at lunch, we walked by this place. I noticed their sign listed products from a number of vendors at the Saturday Falls Church farmers market and made a mental note to mention the place to my wife. This weekend, after we did our Saturday pilgrimage to the Falls Church farmers market, we decided to stop in. Its a nice little store. Carries a lot of nice local stuff. Its a bit dominated by goods from "the usual suspects" (McCutcheons canned goods dominate the store, not that thats a bad thing). However, "the usual suspects" have become that way by being good at what they do and being able to do it at a enough of scale to be regionally popular. So, its not a big objection, its just more to note that youre not really going to see anything new here if youve been doing the whole "eat local" thing for any length of time. My only real objection to the place is that its not as crammed with stuff as it could be. Then again, theyve only been open since August 10th of this year, so, they may not have established enough of a clientele to really support a more diverse or larger onhand stock and still keep everything fresh.

Superior produce to start!!! The new owners are pleasant and laid back. The atmosphere is friendly, inviting and gives off a hip urban farm-to-table vibe which is quite different from my past experience. They are a great team and seem to truly appreciate customer interest in their mission. In addition, it doesnt hurt that the owners/staff are very helpful and patient as my two year old screams and attempts to dismantle the produce displays while I attempt to shop! My husband and I now buy all our produce and sometimes dairy and meat from them. We hope the new grocery stores do not hurt their business. One of FCCs little treasures...

I love this market! I first come here to get whatever i can and then head to the big grocery store. Their vegetables taste so much better. The meat and diary products are delicious. i am especially addicted to their youghurt.

An awesome spot! A great selection of local goods, including produce, baked goods, meat, and many other products. The prices were also generally fair, though I assume those are decided by the producers themselves.

Whats not to like? Step back in time and get the best local produce, dairy, grass-fed meats, bread, and other goodies - and with a smile. The Local Market is one of the highlights of Falls Church!

Lots of artisanal foods. Like others, I hope the landlord doesnt get big eyes due to all the development, jack up the rent and kill one of the few mom and pop type shops left in the City.

This place is a great alternative to the big globo supermarkets. Local produce is great and so are the baked goods. Prices are actually reasonable which is refreshing.
