This foodlion location is extremely convenient to were i live, and every visit is pleasant and the store clean and stocked. Until recently they have had a store associate who is extremely rude and unattentive. My wife and i were in the store this passed week and they only had one register open for a store full of people. And this associate was sitting on the floor in the front of the store putting stickers on items, which is fine im sure she was doing her job. But i noticed she kept looking up at her co-worker who had a line full of people. And after every sticker she applyed she would look up and i noticed she started getting slower and slower with putting stickers on merchandise. Almost as if she was trying to look like she was "busy." So the manager says "open your line and help her." So the associate stands up and walks over to her register, at which point she says nothing to anyone she just stands there and looks around and turns her light on. She doesnt invite anyone or explain that she is open. So me and my wife get in her line at which the couple behind us follow and she yells at her manager "Oh, i have to take all these people!?" So i walk up to her and say "Hello how are you?" She doesnt reply to me. my wife tries to hand her our MVP card, and she just ignores her completely. At the end of our transaction my wife, despite how rude this employee has been to us said "Thank you." And the associate doesnt even looks at us, she just hands us our recipet and proceeded with the couple behind us. Again i have no issue with this store, we have always had a pleasant experience until recently. Im not trying to bash anyone i just know its people like this that gives the business a bad image.

Food Lion is never my first choice for grocery shopping but in Colonial Beach there are very few options. As a grocery store, its meat department is limited. 90% of the meat department carries the unimpressive Lion King brand. The dairy department is not much better. They still organize foods by ethnic divisions. It doesnt make much sense if you cook a lot. They have organic and health-focused foods but keep them in a "specialty" area. If you shop here, be prepared to make do. The produce is unimpressive and limited as well. (Sigh) I miss my Reasors back in Tulsa. Heck, Id settle for a Trader Joes.

When Google says theyre open until 11pm on a Friday, I expect Food Lion to be open at 11pm on a Friday like GOOGLE stated! I just moved to the area, and I live 20 minutes from the closest grocery store. I left my home at 9:40pm only to show up at Food Lion, closed at 10:00pm. My SO had just gotten home from work (we share a car) and our daughter needed formula! I had to drive an HOUR away from my home in order to get it!
