The store is poorly stocked, having a small aquatics dept with inadequate lighting. One could find better decor without leaving their house and the employees were Rude, Ignorant and seemed to Make Up Petco Policy on the spot. We tried to exchange 2 plants we had purchased less than 2 days prior at another Petco, with a receipt and were told that they didnt carry those plants. I immediately walked back & found them in 5 seconds. I was then told that they COULD NOT EXCHANGE ITEMS PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER PETCO LOCATION, EVEN WITH IDENTICAL MERCHANDISE AND RECEIPT. No one offered assistance. We had to HUNT DOWN the "Aquatics Personnel". He knew LESS THAN NOTHING about the fish, the plants or their care. IVE NEVER SEEN SUCH DEPLORABLE & INHUMANE TREATMENT OF FISH!! The tanks were all FILTHY & running over with dead fish, not surprising at all as most of the Living Ones were VERY ILL..Many had HUGE GILL FLUKES Literally HANGING OFF OF THEM & Parasites hanging Out of Them. Others were Gasping to breathe, Algae was Rampant & the Water Looked Dirty. I pointed out to the boy that these fish were quite ill & should be Quarantined & Medicated IMMEDIATELY. He was Oblivious..I went tank by tank pointing out Sick Fish, he seemed Very Confused & the Manager, who we stopped for advice on plant root tabs earlier, claimed to "Do Aquariums" privately...If the fish in His Store are indicative of that business..I Shudder to Think!! THAT STORE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN FOR PUBLIC HEALTH ENDANGERMENT & all staff TRAINED or FIRED!! We never made it past that department. I cried for those poor fish when we left. How can a PET STORE be so CREUL to their Pets!! Weve been in Tons of Pet Stores and Ive NEVER seen ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!

This may be a small store but it is really one of the nicest stores ive been in. I bought a bearded dragon from them and got a fifteen day guarantee!! (any other pet store only gives you 2-5 days). I also got one free vet visit for my reptile within 15 days of the purchase to make sure he is healthy! It may be one of the smaller pet stores ive been to, but definitely one of the nicest! I recommend this to anyone looking for a reptile or any other pet they have!

i went in because i didnt want to drive all the way out to petsmart, and hadnt investigated petco yet. it was much smaller than i anticipated! the selection of products was not good, not much variety, and on the more expensive side. only saw one employee there and no one helped me even though i circled the one small aisle i was looking at three times. i made the drive to petsmart and was very happy i did, much better products and service there.

I bought an Elephant Beta here and was very impressed with the sales person. He was able to answer all my questions and he helped me set up the kind of tank I wanted with his experience. I didnt come home with a bunch of stuff I didnt need. I am very happy with my purchase and will recommend.

Good for stocking up on pet supplies. I found their staff very unhelpful when it came to asking about their pet rodents. I ended up adopting a Syrian hamster through this store, and after researching the breed post-adoption I realized everything the staff told me about the breed was wrong.

This store is pretty upscale, with all natural pet foods, a pick-n-mix with pet treats, grooming services, and monthly vetco services. It is also expensive. Trendy and eco-friendly has a price as shown by the high tag numbers. This place also attracts some odd birds.

The attendant was very helpful. But their pets seem so miserable. They kip their betta fish in little Tupperware Thats not even tall enough for their fins. And their guinea pigs share a tank thats smaller than the one I have for my one fish

The grooming salon at Emmett Street Petco is great! My 12 year old Shih Tzu LOVES his groomer, Jess! The grooming staff is sweet, thoughtful, and has done a great job with my baby. I highly reccomend Jess!

Me and my girlfriend got a pet Betta Fish. The associates were helpful in assisting us with what to get in terms of bowl size, decorations, and food.

Small. No saltwater! Have to drive an hour and a half for saltwater. No 40 gallon tanks. Typical Petco overall.
