Ive been to Arrowine many times, but after my experience yesterday I felt the need to leave a review. As youd expect, this store has a great selection of wine and a decent selection of beer, but what I love most is their array of excellent cheeses. Yesterday my friend and I were on a mission to make the best grilled sandwich ever, so we decided to head to Arrowine to get the good stuff. Now, as much as I love cheese, I still am somewhat of a novice when it comes to selecting it myself. We walked up to the cheese counter and asked the guy what 2 cheeses he suggested combining to make the "most epic grilled cheese sandwich ever made." His face lit up, he thought about it for a moment, asked us a few questions about our cheese preferences, then went to work picking some out. He sliced off a couple samples for us to try, and we were sold. We asked for a bread pairing as well (Arrowine sells incredible fresh baked bread), and of course, a wine pairing. We received an excellent white wine recommendation to go with our grilled cheese sandwiches (to really class it up). If you are looking for wine, beer, and cheese, Im sure there are many stores around here that can give you just that. But if you want great wine, beer, and cheese AND excellent customer service, go to Arrowine. Yeah, sometimes you may have to wait to be helped on the weekends at the cheese counter, but its worth it (and you get to sample what you are interested in buying). And in case you were wondering, our grilled cheese sandwiches turned out to be the best Ive ever made.

I Googled Arrowine recently when I was doing a "search nearby" function. I was appalled to see reviews stating some pretty inconsistent facts. Let me start by saying this place is great! Their newsletter is fantastic and they get new wines in stock all the time. They have tastings on fridays and saturdays, and are very friendly and helpful when choosing a wine. As for the cost mentioned in one of the other reviews... lies. This place introduced me (per their recommendation) to one of the best 8.99 reds Ive ever had. As a matter of fact, the majority of their best wines are between 9-15 dollars (which is very fair) and their newsletter informs you of sub 10 dollar specials weekly. It is possible the previous reviewer expects all wine to come in boxes and cost 6.99. Yes, they carry upper tier wines, but they have a very good selection for every price range.

Being a newcomer to Arlington, I was very excited to go to Arrowine because I believe in supporting local businesses and the shop looks great from the outside. However, I was disappointed in the lack of any personal attention. I was one of two customers in a store full of employees, and not one person offered to help me for the 20 or so minutes I browsed the store. I even made some gestures and pointed comments to indicate I needed help, but the two owners (I know because they are on the website) and another employee were laughing and talking about wine right in front of me while totally ignoring me. This is inexcusable for a business who claims to be a "neighborhood" store, especially for a wine store, where the average person needs more help than usual. I wont go back.

The best wine and cheese shop in the area. I generally come here for the cheese. I walk right to the back of the store and start looking for a new cheese to try. They have so many options. I am able to get specialty cheeses from around the world here. I come out of my way to this store to get some of my favorite Swiss cheeses. After I get my cheese than I go look for the right wine to serve with it. There is a wide selection of wines here. The staff is great with making recommendations. There is also a great selection of olives next to the cheeses which is also another main reason I come here. The olives are fresh and there is a wide variety of different olive types. I love this place as it has everything a person needs for a nice party or for specialty ingredients.

I went to Arrowine to buy a particular Oregon pinot noir. Instead of being able to browse the selection of pinots, I was immediately accosted by one of their sales people who assumed that I knew nothing about wine and insisted on "helping" me. I told him that I was looking for a particular wine from the Williamette valley. The store did not stock the wine I was looking for. The sales person handed me a bottle of wine from the Anderson Valley in California and was very pushy that I buy it. During my visit, the service was overbearing. It sounds like others have experienced inattentive clerks. Either way, this store has poor service.

Up front: I go here for beer and Jennis ice cream. Nick the Beermonger is the man in Arlingtons beer scene. He will bring in amazing selections from around the world at reasonable prices. Buy a 6 pack? 10% off! All. The. Time. I also have a sick obsession with Jennis Ice Cream from Columbus, Oh and this is the only place I know around me that sells it. If I was more of wine drinker, Id be here for that as well. Knowledgeable staff will be eager to help with wine, beer or cheese choices. Friendly, neighborhood store that deserves your business!

This is my go-to spot to pick up wine and cheese. There selection is vast and the employees are all knowledgeable. They are the type of aficionados that can describes the nuances in the cheese, meats and wine that leave me looking like a deer in headlights because the subtleties are a bit over my head. My palate is definitely not as refined, but I love seeing their passion for their products.

I would actually rate this place a 4.5. They have a great wine selection and a knowledgable staff from whom I have received some very solid recommendations. If you can explain to them the types of thing that you like in a wine they will offer you some great suggestions for things to try. For me thats one of the best parts of this place. They also have a great cheese selection.

Whatever poor service may have existed in the past, I certainly didnt see it today. As a complete dunce about wine and cheese, I was helped by two different employees who gave me great recommendations of both for a dinner tonight. I could not have been more happier. Youve made a new regular customer, Arrowine!

Beer selection is not huge but its the most unique in Arlington and not over priced (looking at you west over market). Staff is fantastically knowledgeable and friendly, meats and cheeses are delicious, Im not qualified to comment on the wine selection but it looks great.

The best part about this place is Nat the beer/wine guy. Super helpful and always has new and interesting stuff. The whole staff is very friendly and always goes above and beyond. Parking can be a pain and sometimes things are a little pricey, but thats Arlington.

Excellent service and a great selection of unique beer and wine. Due to their small size they dont carry everything, but they focus on carrying the items you cannot buy elsewhere. They offered to special order anything they didnt have in stock.
