I wish I could write a positive review because Big 5 does have good prices, but their customer service is absolutely horrific. We bought a pair of hiking boots for my daughter here, she wore them one time, and repeatedly the laces would come off the hooks on the top sides of the boots, eventually resulting on the loops on one shoe getting caught on the hook of the other shoe, causing her to fall on the trail and split her knee and elbow open. The manager, Wayne, refused to allow us to return or exchange the boots for a different pair because they werent "defective" according to him. Pretty defective if you ask me. What a missed opportunity to create a positive customer experience for a lousy $20. Thats when you know a manager is in the wrong role. Get rid of Wayne, Big 5, and empower your managers to make things right. Youve lost this customer for good.

Frustrating experience. I love Big 5. Just gave the one in Orem 5 stars. The employees here dont know what is going on. I was in West Jordan so I had to go to this location. They wouldnt let me use a Big 5 coupon on my attempted purchase because they said it didnt apply to the item I was buying. I called the Sandy and Orem stores and they both said they would accept it, but West Jordan wouldnt change their mind, even though they couldnt state why the coupon wasnt valid. I ended up buying the item from Orem. Better training is a must at this location. If your in West Jordan, try somewhere else.

Came here for a quick shopping trip, didnt have much expectation, just wanted to see what type of tennis racquets they have. Prices arent bad, there wasnt much service here besides the usual "hi, how are you". But I did find what I needed so I didnt have a bad experience. They try to have as much as possible and it does get a bit crowded with merchandise, almost overwhelmingly crowded. I dont hate it. Id come again for other last minute shopping.

Great store, They have always been helpful. This year on my 7 year old baseball on of the other players mom was going through treatment for breast cancer. We went to Big 5 to get pink socks for all of the boys on the team. When they found out what the socks were for they gave us a discount.

I was waiting in the store for over 10 minute before anyone even asked if I needed assistance. People were up front conversing with each other vs walking the store assisting people. By far the worst customer experience in a while.

I went here to see about getting something that would protect my face when I pass out. The store manager knew the perfect thing and let me try on it on to confirm it was the perfect size. :) I would highly recommend this store.
