I would have to agree that the customer is just a dollar sign to the associates at Barnes and Noble. I have visited this location countless times. I used to work at a retail location a few stores up from BN and go there on breaks to get food, coffee, etc. I have also purchased many books from there. If I have ever had any complaints, the managers never seem to care, and just say "okay". None of the associates ever seem to greet you and all walk around as if the customers are not even there. You have to hunt one down. Not to mention that I have a membership and added the "Kids Club" onto my account and have yet to recieve any of the benefits. I have vowed to never visit again but, it is the closest book store to me and my son loves to play with the trains. Once he gets his train set, I am sure we will no longer visit the store. I would much rather give my money to local bookstores who are acutally interested in books and the customers.

To the user below complaining about the 14 day return policy; what do you expect? Its already an incredibly lenient policy seeing as most people could read any book in the store and return it, thus abusing the policy. Also, its not like they try to keep their policy a secret. Its clearly posted everywhere, even on the receipt. Barnes and Noble shouldnt have to accommodate your failing to plan ahead or ignorance. And fyi, youre a "dollar sign" to every business, Amazon included. You think Amazon will give you a return when you dont abide by their return policy? And to the user that gave them 2 stars; have you even been to the Barnes and Noble or did you base your whole review on someone elses?

There are actually people that like to browse stores without sales people continually interrupting asking if they are finding everything they need. If I need to "hunt a service rep. down", I just go to the service desk that is located in the middle of the store. This Barnes and Noble is very clean and well organized and I have never had a problem finding answers to questions that I may have. All associates have been very helpful. They even went the extra mile and called me at home to tell me that I had left my purchase in the store when I had put my book down to retrieve my keys from a new "bottomless handbag". In my opinion, this is a 5 star store!

I went into this location shopping for Sub 4 Santa (4 kids). I noticed their prices where significantly higher than other stores, but I had to stop there for a specific book. I asked the manager if they could match price or offer at least a discount considering it was for charity. The manager said the only discount she could offer was if I was a member (cost $25), and that she could not offer the 10% off unless I was a member. I am VERY disappointed that they made NO effort in helping families in need nor offer any customer service. My total was well over $150 and it will be the last time I spend money there. Amazon has secured my business for life.

I will never patronize Barnes and Noble again. Buyer beware that they have a strict 14 day return policy - you cant even get store credit. I came in on day 17 and the book hadnt been cracked, I had purchased it as a gift ahead of time and the recipient had already purchased it for themselves. Erica the manager at the Jordan Landing store had zero customer service ability. Called customer service to express my frustration with the return policy and they couldnt care less. You are truly just a dollar sign to this corporate heap. I will save my 20% by purchasing through amazon from now on.

Cool place, great books, staff was not helpful.... they had horrible music playing in the background... I asked if they could change it, they told me to talk to another guy so I asked the other employee. He asked what time it was and then mentioned that they usually turn off the music soon... then he awkwardly walked away without changing anything or letting me know when they planned on turning it off. Maybe they cant change it but at least tell me that instead of walking away awkwardly!

I go to this location all the time usually to buy a new Harry Potter book. I went in this morning and approached the cash register, HP book in hand and the cashier (Dalton) was such a cool guy! He was very enthusiastic and he geeked out about me reading the series for the first time. Put a smile on my face and made my day. Thank you Dalton, from a fellow "Nerd".

Been in here 5 times, and each time I go in, they dont have what Im looking for, but can order it in, if I wanted to order it in I could jist order through Amazon, its cheaper that way anyway, needlesss to say wont be going back to B&N, will order online and wait for book anyway!!!!!!

Not sure how you knew I was there last night... Anyway, even though it was slow and they supposedly had enough staff, I couldnt get anyone to assist me in finding what I was looking for. And so I didnt make any purchases and walked out. Not the best experience Ive had there.

I love this place, just to get coffee while shopping, finding things for my son, or getting a new book. They always have what I want or I can order and pick up. Sales associates are friendly and dont hover over you like most do at this strip mall.

I love coming here just to relax with a good book! I have always had positive experiences with the employees. The only thing I would recommend they add to the store is better chairs! The wooden chairs there are terribly uncomfortable.

Very nice Barnes and Noble. They have a huge selection of books and genres. They also have story time very often so your kids have something to do while you shop around for books. It definitely is a fun shopping experience.

Its a nice store sometimes the books are over priced but its hard to compete with Amazon when you have to pay for a building. Its good when you cant wait for Prime. They do have good sales and you can find some cool stuff.

Fairly decent selection. They have a bad tendency to carry the later books in a series, but not have the first available without ordering, so I usually end up online at another retailer
