HeeBeeGeeBeez Comics & Games in Ogden, Utah just tried to sell me star wars destiny booster packs at $8/pack. They are only worth $3. I had never set foot in their store before today, and will never, EVER for any reason set foot in there again. A store is free to do what it likes when it comes to supply and demand. They very well may find buyers at those prices (though Id surely hope not). But heres the thing: there are six gamers under my roof. Im ashamed to admit how much money we actually invest each month in gaming (between Dice Masters, board games, and other card games). Its one of our favorite ways to use discretionary income because we feel it does a lot to create memories and family time together. To be blunt, any store could obviously survive just fine without me, but they should want to have a customer like me to visit them regularly. I will never go to that store again, nor will I point anyone in their direction. I think the supply shortage of this great game is a real discouragement, but anybody who wants to build a business in any field needs to recognize the need to build a loyal customer base over the need to turn a tidy profit because of shortage. Sorry for the rant, folks. Well keep trying with other game stores. I know the easiest way is to just buy online but I love trying to support local game stores whenever possible. If this store had, instead, sold me packs at MSRP, Id have been crazy grateful and would have gone back soon. Too bad for both of us (the store, and my family) I suppose.

Ive been going to this shop off and on for years, mainly for my MtG needs. (Ive been a huge fan of John and Jeremy since the original Ravnicas pre-release. While some of the faces have changed, the service and good company hasnt.) You can usually find stuff cheaper online (and in a soulless capacity) but you wont get the friendly banter and knowledge that comes from years of experience. Ill gladly bite the bullet when the price of convenience and not waiting out weigh an extra dollar here and there. Its the reason you support local stores instead of online vendors. They survived when your only true MtG vendors were The Bookshelf and Heebeegeebeez, and I hope theyll continue to do well for many years to come.

Guy who runs this place actually pulled the price switch BS! Item priced $9.99 in two different spots on the item, get up to the register and tells me this is priced wrong. Its actually $19.99! He said, "price stickers fall off and Ive paid the wrong price at Walmart before!" He wouldnt honor the price it was on the item and gave excuses for HIS mistake! Horrible business practice and ridiculous anti social behavior. Hope that Magic Gathering card playing keeps holding up otherwise youll be out of business shortly after it does. You label something a certain price you honor that price! Its not the customers mistake it was your mistake.

Ive been going to the Ogden and Layton stores off and on for the last several years. The staff have always been friendly and genuinely interested in helping newcomers and regulars alike. Staff was more than willing to patiently help and teach my 9 yr old son MTG and Heroclix. They were also sensitive to his age and recommended good age appropriate books and games to play. This store is one of the only reasons I still buy physical books, great service and friendly atmosphere. If youre looking for a good community and helpful, friendly staff/managers/owners, this is a great place to go.

Large store, friendly service. Needed some single MTG cards, process was quick and straightforward. One card was out of stock, called down to the Logan store and they volunteered to bring it up here instead of sending me down there. Prices seem fair for singles. Lots of times Ive priced cards and the expensive ones are... Excessively expensive. Theyll give it for their market price which seemed close enough to the sites I usually use. Cheaper rares seem to be at a base price of $1/ea. Plenty of comics, figures, random old Atari sets. Tables in the back for events and game nights.

Will look up prices online and marks up prices will never shop there again I really wish there staff would treat there customers with respect and not like we are a burden on them. This store has some really awesome stuff but one of the most over priced shops around. I would try and find your item else were and skip this shop all together. I can not speak for the Layton or Salt lake locations but I would never recommend this store to anyone any more. I am not the only person who feels this way I have 4 other friends who have boycotted this store.

Amazing place to visit. The first time I went there I had a great experience. I went it to look at MTG singles and was treated really good. The prices were good and the employees were awesome espically Zane. Great environment with HUGE selections of anything you want game and comic related. Ive been to many many comic/game stores and this by far has been the best and friendliest experience. They have a great program going if your are a casual MTG player where you go and play and everyone just has a great time. I highly recommend this shop!!!

I guess some people havent had the misfortune of having the owner and manager steal from them. Me and my friend have, even with receipts in hand. As I have no desire to be robbed again, I will be avoiding this store. Im also tired of their lies about there being no other comic shops in the area. Yes, they flat out lie about it! I found one and have never had a problem with honesty from them! Never! You have been warned.

There was only one guy working and he was so rude to my husband and I.. We were newish to playing Magic and he definitely made us feel bad for it for some reason. He was all knowing and whatever. We went to one in Layton and he was so friendly and excited to help us get into MTG more by giving us websites and tips. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. Said he played for 25 years!

Super helpful staff, always good selection of products, but transferring products from other stores takes quite a while. Would give 5 stars if transfers were faster. Thats really the only problem Ive ever had at this location. Other than that super knowledgeable employees that are always fun to sit and chat with. Love it!

Didnt have what I was after, but the staff was incredibly friendly and offered me exceptional assistance. Although the specific product I was looking for is no longer in print I really appreciated his attempt to help me literally as much as he possibly could. Im absolutely looking forward to exploring the store more!

For the service and prices, Id pass. Id rather drive all the way to Layton because the staff here is awful and rude, also, forbid you ask about a comics release date or when their vendor gets it to to try and get a hold for it. They apparently have to personally know you or you dont get to ask for holds. Dumb.
