A Private User

I wanted to buy a sweater today at a hollister store. There were roughly ten of them hanging on a rack. As i tried to pull one down i noticed that all the sweaters were "connected" to one another. When I asked an employee to pull one down she said that everything on the rack in the middle of a retail clothing store where you buy clothes were not for sale. I thought she was kidding. There were 2 sweaters that we wanted to buy and an abundant amount of them but they wouldnt sell them. I am the director of marketing and I have to say this is the most absurd "marketing" scheme I have ever witnessed. "Display clothes in a retail store where you buy clothes but dont sell them." I bought nothing and I will never go back. Great strategy ;) However, I am still amused by this experience and share it with others who also find it confusing and absurd and will also not go there. Maybe I should apply for the director of marketing position at hollister :)

I always enjoy Hollister (Reminds me of desperation to be accepted by others in middle school.) This store does a good job of keeping everything nice and organized. Wish they would increase the lighting though because I can never see that well.
