As a coffee and latte connoisseur, I can honestly say that I was unimpressed. Their coffee is better than Folgers, and their lattes are acceptable. The espresso machines appear to pull shots too quickly, resulting in blandness of flavor. When I asked if they could pull me a longer shot, they didnt seem to know what I meant, or whether their machine was even capable of adjustment. While waiting for my latte once, I could not help but notice that they seemed to be in no hurry to pour milk in the cup directly after the shot had been pulled. As leaving a shot of espresso alone in a cup for more than a few seconds results in the breaking down of the volatile chemical compounds within the shot, this is a serious mark against Java Cows baristas. I have tried at least half of their baked goods, sandwiches and salads. I was never impressed with these, and found it quite sad that they bragged about making such mediocre goods from scratch. Ive had better pre-frozen pastries, and the sandwiches and salads were comparable to pre-made ones from a grocery store deli. To be honest, I think that the only reason this cafe stays in business is due to its perfect location on Main Street, just doors away from the Egyptian theater, and quite far from any other coffee shop (the closest on being at the bottom of Main Street). Sad to say, I would sooner go to Starbucks.

I was told by a young girl at our hotel Javacow had the very best ice cream so I had to check them out. Know how many times I’ve heard that statement before and was disappointed? Yea right! But not this time! Incredible stuff and 32 flavors to choose from. I’m an ice cream nut and had to go back several times. Amazing.. Anything I tried was simply the best. On my last visit by sheer chance, I met the owner. He and his assistant actually make the ice cream themselves right there in the back of the shop. That’s where I spotted them busy at work. I complimented him on the ice cream. He thanked me and asked me if I had tried any of the baked goods which I’ll admit looked good or any of the homemade soups or even a crepe. (Which I had not). Apparently, he is just as passionate about those things as well which are all produced on premise. Maybe next year!!! Don’t miss this place!

Im not a fan of coffee, but they are not just that. Theres plenty more and everything Ive tried so far was excellent. The service is friendly. and the cow theme is all over the place yet well designed and there are plenty of cow items to browse for souvenirs. The only drink Ive tried (and I got immediately hooked up) is the Iced Chai Latte which was great. Few days after trying it, I found myself in Starbucks and wanted to try theirs, only to be disappointed at the bland taste and the exaggerated amount of sugar they add to it. (they use honey at Java Cow). About the food, Ive tried the Spinach and Feta Quiche, an Early Riser Crepe, the home made granola, the Caprese Sandwich and each was better than the other. I have yet to try the ice creams and the other plates. Which Ill eventually will.

Im a local. While I parked outside today my 16 year old GD ran in for a pint of Pralines and Cream. I live in old town. If you dont tell the kids with dirty fingers and no plastic gloves you end up with a 3/4 packed pint. One kid told me recently just say local when I asked him to pack the carton.!!! Its dishonest and kids are lazy. A sign of the times ??? When I got home today the carton was 3/4 ths full. I have never seen an adult unless they "hang" on the coffe side. Will report them to sanitation, and theyve lost my business after 10 years. Guess the kid with blond hair today thought my Granddaughter was a tourist. BJ Dingman Daly Ave. Ps. Recently a young man by name of Oscar helped me personally. He was excellent. IMG_9524.JPG

My wife and i had a really good experience here. I noticed this place while walking to dinner down the road at pizza and noodles. There where tons of people getting ice cream there, more than at rocky mountian chocolate and icecream. We went in and had some samples, two each...it was more than enough. I sampled the moo mix or something with carmel, vanila icecream, chocolate and heath WOW best icecream by far. and i had mint cookie, good too. Mywife had the brownie explasion....well there werent too many brownies in the vanilla ice cream...so not her favorite/ kind bland too. But over all the flavors were great, homemade and deliscious.

We came in near closing and one staff were very rude and unprofessional. He kept telling us we had to hurry, wouldnt give us any samples and then was rude when we asked for another scoop even though its in the menu. For a sundae it was over 8 bucks and after being treated this way I would never come back. I spoke to the manager and he was also unprofessional and tried to justify the poor treatment by saying the staff had been working all day and just wanted to leave so it was ok to hurry us through. I hope the owners know how poorly the staff treat people at closing time and how unprofessional the manager is.

You can do much worse in Park City than Java Cow. That being said this place is nothing amazing. They are fairly consistent and the staff is quite friendly. The fresh crepes are a really nice touch and they use quality ingredients in most of their house made meals and drinks. The place gets really busy during the Sundance festival because of all the pre-made grab-n-go items. Prices are slightly high for what it is, but comparatively reasonable compared to most places on Main St. They need more frequent bussing in the dining area, which feels crowded and messy.

Always a hit with our kids. But it was a madhouse tonight & they didnt handle it well (7:30p Friday of a March holiday week). Line went out the door & was slow slow slow (do they need a new system?!). They ran out of chocolate, cookie dough, java chip, coffee, and strawberry. Gummy bear topping, too. But the milkshakes were tasty and everyone left with a smile. Got lucky and got a parking space right out front on Main St. If you dont, use the China Basin garage and cross through the alley.

Disappointing Espresso! With a great location in Park City, midway up Main Street, Java Cow seems to often be busy. With that said, this is close to the worst espresso I have ever had. The espresso was quite bitter and lacked much great flavor. There is a large selection of ice cream and other treats that are tasty though so go in for the pastries, crepes, ice cream etc rather than the espresso.

While my husband and I were trying flavors of icecream, the gal running the shop told us she wouldnt allow any more testers... The icecream was decent, nothing special about it. I did notice how the uncleanly the place seemed. As we were testing icecream, There was a HAIR on the counter! I sucked it up and ate my icecream anyway.... but I dont think well be coming back anytime soon.
