I recently wrote a review on academys horrible shipping practices. They sent me an email back with this reply. ...So I guess if I would have made a good review, then they would have posted it???? Email is as followed... 3 for shipping and 5 for scope The scope is a great scope brand overall. Ive own nikon and all the high end optics but this scope is the best for low light shooting. I gave it 3 stars only because Academy sports does not know how to ship optics. Ordered the first scope and it came in a 2x2x8" box with no packing at all. Complained and they sent me another one with very little packing with this one. Havent sighted it in yet due to weather and work to see if the reticle jump or not. If it wasnt for the packing I would have gave it 5 stars. THIS WAS THEIR REPLY........ Bradk75,   Our staff has read your review and values your contribution. However, it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing and we hope to publish next time............ I CAN SAY THIS. this isnt half of the story. I spent about 2-3 hours dealing with their "chat" line on the website that is purely worthless. I was supposed to have a supervisor call me back and of course that never happened....but one day out of the blue there was a box sitting in my driveway, with another poorly packed scope. I will NEVER have another scope shipped from them again...   Submit something new   Thanks again, Academy Sports + Outdoors

I called today trying to see if they had a certain item in stock 4 times. All 4 times I was put on hold, and whenever the phone was picked up by an associate I was hung up on.... 4 times.... The first few times they did seem to be genuine mistakes but by the 3rd time they would answer, say they were going to transfer me (again) to the dpt. That handled that, and then hung up on me, followed by the 4rth time when the associate picked up the phone said "yes" and Hung up on me. Very poor over the phone service and ill mannered/Poorly trained workers. Just go in person, save yourself the frustration. Oh and dont even ask to speak to a manager over the phone because guess what? Click.... Buzzzzzz Just disrespectful

Man this place has everything you can imagine to make your dreams of a healthier, happier, more active, very materialistic, goals come to life! Yet, when it comes time to getting the it to the front counter or answering what question you have about certain products its a ghost town. Come on yall should stand behind the product you sell before you sell them remember its, come on people be the one who inspires the changes in life, and risks it all to find happiness. Oh And great gun selection for those of us who refuse to be a victim of circumstance.

Good place to shop for any outdoor/sporting goods stuff you can imagine. Staff is always helpful and courteous. Tip: shop for cold weather stuff here at the end of the winter season. I got a nice Columbia Jacket for like 50% of retail
