I was in San Antonio for a holiday and wanted to go to a quilt shop within walking distance. So I choose Las Colchas. It was worth the 35 minute walk. When I found the quaint shop it looked so welcoming I was excited, I walked in and was amazed at all the wonderful treasures inside. I was greeted by Cindy welcoming me into the store asking if I need any help, she gave me a bottle of water to drink while I was there. I spent 2.5 hours there. I was having so much trouble deciding what I would buy, I loved to many things and I had to narrow it down to fit in my luggage. I eventually bought several items with the help of the staff. I am so excited about my purchases I can hardly wait to start the quilts and bags. Which to start first. If I ever return to San Antonio I will return to the store. I am going to follow them on line, I know they ship. Thank you to the staff it was a great experience. Once I finish the kaffe fassett quilt I am sending a picture.

Im a decidedly modern quilter, so I wasnt sure from the photos if this place would have much that appealed to me while on a quick business trip to San Antonio. But Im so glad I went, because I was blown away by their amazing selection of modern, unique, and colorful fabrics. I wanted to buy everything. Tiny-looking from the outside, the inside is filled with many rooms of fabric, books, patterns and sample quilts, bags, and a few garments. The staff was delightful and happy to help and chat.

I love this shop! It is so unique and full of ideas. I was there two weeks ago during shop hop and got home with out my purchases. I was so disappointed and wasnt able to get back until yesterday. When I explained it to Cindy, with the thought of having to re purchase the items, she had them waiting for me by the cash register with a description of what I was wearing that day. Thats service!!! Again, I love this store!!!

I love this quaint and charming shop - beautiful fabrics, lovely projects, books and patterns, as well as gorgeous kits - it has something for everyone. It is so fun to go through the shop and discover what delights are in each room. And the ladies in the shop were so helpful - they love what they are doing and it shows!
