I just want to thanks the employees at this pawn for being so lazy. I went in about 15 mins until they closed with a 14k gold bracelet found in the ground metal detecting. As soon as went in it was apparent they did not really want to deal with me afraid of having to do more paper work or writing up another ticket. So I was not really sure if it was real or not being in the ground for so long it looked really weathered. I simply took it there to see if it was real or not. Well I handed it to one guy and he quickly passed it to another guy so he did not have to deal with it. The guy quickly said its not real because it was really dirty. I asked him to test it anyways and he looked like he would have rather died then test it. So I insisted, he took a deep breath and went over to the acid testing area. I was watching him closely because I know how the tests are done having a few kits in my past. Well He really must think everyone in the world is stupid or something he scratched the the stone with the bracelet, and then took the acid and never even opened the top of the bottle, and to beat all that i had a clear view leaning in and clearly saw no acid came out of the bottle. So I just want to thank you for being so lazy because I might have sold it to you if you would have done the test. I found out today having purchased me another kit of my own and taking it to a real jewelery store it in fact was 14k yellow gold (15 grams). If you want to get misled and ripped off by all means go do business at this pawn shop.

Both of the reviews below me are total crap, I WORKED at Alamo for about a year or so. The owner, Joe is an awesome person and so are most of the people who work there. If you got laughed at its probably because you were making a ridiculous request or were just plain being ignorant. Its a business, a pawn shop, not a good-will style charity. They purchase things at low prices in order to re-sell at a low price and hopefully make a little profit in the middle. You have to understand EXACTLY how a pawn shop style business works in order to be able to make comments like you did. It is not Joe or any one elses fault that you were in a situation where you had to sell something for cheap in order to scratch by... We are all in crappy situations, man up, get a JOB, and stop blaming the world for your problems! Shout out to all the folks @ Alamo, Joe, Steph, Travis, even Eddie lol, ;)

I have pawned with Alamo and probably wont pawn with them again just because how well I was treated by EZ pawn. Ive asked for a extra 20 here and there at Alamo and I get told no with 5 years of great history with them they still tell me no. EZ pawn manager looked at my history and said of course we can give you 20 extra. I juat bought a bike on lay away and asked if she would drop the price by 20 dollars and she said only if you buy it now. When EZ pawn has shown me the love and respect of someone having good history and no where near as long as history as I do with Alamo I will be making that switch. Nothing horrible to say about Alamo. Know who your working with before you say no Alamo. EZ pawn said cause of my history they would wrk with me on cheaper prices even if I do a lay away

So less than 2 weeks ago I went in to purchase a computer monitor and the staff was very friendly. I also looked into purchasing a portable dvd player for the car. Unfortunately when they went to test it out it didnt work, but yet it was still for sale. That should have told me something right there but I continued to purchase the monitor. Well here it is 2 weeks later and I have a monitor that does not work! I called to see if they would even be willing to look at it and they said "its as is soooo". My reply was "so you have NO customer service?" He said "no maam...." So I politely hung up. I WOULDNT USE THEM EVER AGAIN AND WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THEM UNLESS THEY WANT A PRODUCT THAT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK FOR ONLY A WEEK OR TWO!!

ANY PLACE IS BETTER.has all ways been my go to Pawin shop NO MORE.....this place was all ways great. I had not been in a while I had not come across hard times in past Ive pawned jewelry and got like 15 bucks for gas...so today I go in asking and understanding a fair price...we go back and forth a little and agree to a set amount.THEN I have to wait after he could not get his computer to work and I guess he didnt know what he was doing. tries handing me ten Less then what we had agreed on. so they r not honest....they r not understanding. they low ball then try tricking you.

They are rude!! I dont recomment anyone going there. The two good reviews are from owners anyone that goes there is unsatisfied. I went to sell one think for a tenth of the original price and the guy behind the counter offered a ridiculous 5 dollars. I politely said no i cant do it and he LAUGHED at my face. I went down the street and sold the same item for 15 dollars with a very polite man. This is my honest customer opinion if theres any pawnshop u shouldnt go this is the one!! DO NOT GO!

Pawn shops suck such ass anymore if you dont have stolen goods in prefect condition they wont take it. Its total trash and promotes punk ass punks to steal your new stuff. Alamo pawn shops are the worst at least some of the other pawn shops around town will work with you Alamo is total trash and you can probably find some of your stolen things if you been robbed its the #1 place to find your stolen things. Just people trust me dont go to a Alamo pawn shop they are a rip off trash business.

thanks to alamo pawn & jewelry i was able to get my daughter a good working electric keyboard for an awesome price they worked with me and helped me make my daughter happy for her bday. i will defiantly go back and recommend people to go check them out. friendly staff really enjoyed making conversation with sean and enjoyed eddie showing me how well he plays the keyboard i had an enjoyable experience. go check them out guys!!

They always try to help you. when people complaints about prices, is because they dont know how these business works or people over price they belongings. I suggest you to try playing monopoly before going to a pawn shop and learn some tricks it may help you dealing. In general this is a good place I been here more than you can think of. Thanks guys for your help When I need you the most. :)

Horrible. I have never been so upset after leaving a business. They tried to rip me off on two TVs. Id pay triple to go somewhere else and not deal with unprofessional crooks. I wish I would have read all the other bad reviews before going. Such a completely unprofessional business. The only nice person working there was the woman with brown hair. Needs new staff.
