I had a flat while coming down to visit down the street. My sister called and asked if we could borrow some tools to get the tire off. When we got there we were approached by Kevin the guy she spoke to. He was EXTREMELY rude and condesening. He let me finish explaining then blankly stared at me until I looked at his name tag. We asked him to look at the flat backup tire in the trunk and he said it wasnt in good condition so we said we would bring the flat back. I gave him my id as insurance for return of the tool and he said, you should give me your cell phone because I know youll come back for that. We went and got the other tire and he said the tire was fine but the rim was bent. He took me back inside and tried to sell me a $95 dollar rim. I calmly stated it didnt make sense for me to buy a new one when I had a working one on the other flat tire. Which he promptly agreed to. He said it would take 45 mins and would give me a call. Which he never did. I went back with my Father to see if we could get better service and another employee brought the tire to the car. After putting on the tire I went back to return the tool and he said. I knew youd bring it back for your id. I dont know if it is common place for rudeness to be filled out to women at this establishment, but being belittled and insulted by trying to force me to pay for something I dont need is not the way to treat a customer. He makes your organization look bad and I nor anyone I know will do business with you ever again.

Discount Tire did not take responsibility for a new valve stem that popped out less than a week after being replaced. I have been a proponent of these guys for a while. I have always gotten good service. But it is amazing how one bad experience can negate years of good service. I got a set of new tires from these guys and within a couple of weeks the tire pressure monitor was signaling low tire when the pressure was fine. So I had Discount Tire replace the bad TPMS. To do that they also replace the valve stem because it attaches to the valve stem. Less than a week after this replacement, that same tire goes almost immediately flat while going down the freeway. It turns out that the recently changed valve stem was not in securely and came loose while traveling down the highway. It made for a long afternoon. Luckily I had replacement certificates on the tire. But then Discount charges me to change out the tire with the new one. They take no responsibility for the faulty valve stem install which is the only reason my tire went flat and caused tire damage. WOW! Bad Business! But thank you Discount Tire for the Business lesson on How one bad experience can negate many good experiences in the customers mind.

If you are looking for affordable tires and a well-rounded service package, Discount Tires is among the best. However, they are not without their faults. Given their business hinges on tires, you would think they would properly inflate their tires. Hint: The pressures on the tires themselves are MAX INFLATION, not recommended inflation. The recommended tire pressure is usually found on the door jam of the drivers side door. My vehicle recommends 32 psi in the front and 29 psi in the rear. My brand new tires were inflated to 36 front and rear. For reference, a variance of 6 psi is usually enough to trigger your tire pressure sensor, and it is the point at which you are increasing risk of tire damage from road hazards and causing issues with traction and comfort. Long story short, they need to take the extra 5 seconds to check the recommended tire pressures and inflating them properly for their customers. Once they do that, theyll earn back the 2 stars Ive deducted.

Weve made all of our recent tire purchases from this Discount Tire location. The staff is friendly and the free tire rotation service is great; when its time for a rotation, I get there at 8AM on Saturday and Im usually out in under 30 minutes. Of the 3 flat tires Ive brought in, 2 were repairable and 1 was not due to the location of the damage. Luckily we purchased the road hazard protection and the cost for the replacement under the protection plan ($20) was far less than what a new tire wouldve cost ($175+). Weve only experienced one issue, and that was with the tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system when we purchased new tires for our 2007 Murano last year. The sensor for one of the tires stopped being recognized by the computer after we left and we had to bring the vehicle back in to get it looked at, which was a little inconvenient. After having a few techs look at it, though, they finally resolved the problem and all has been well with the TPM since then.

I have always had great experiences at all 3 discount tires I have been to in the Austin Area. From having all new tires put on my car to having small nail repairs I have always felt the employees are so helpful and genuine. I was so worried when I came in for 2 nail punctures in my tires that I would be responsible for buying new tires but the excellent customer service I received from Tony assured me that everything would be done possible to repair the tires without replacing them and that even if they needed to be replaced they would pro rate the cost to the mileage put on the tires. At the end of my visit Abel returned my car to me with the tires in perfect condition, they were able to repair the punctures and at no cost to me, even two years after purchasing them with discount tires. I couldnt be happier with the service I received from the front office to the garage. I will be a loyal customer to this company!

Daniel is AMAZING!! :) I am thankful that the Discount Tire in Round Rock upholds to the same fantastic customer service that the one back home (in Washington) does!! It is great to know that this company truly strives to have the best of the best in all aspects. So, lets start with how great Daniel was on the phone! Finding me what I need and answering all my questions quickly. I had two last minute flat tires and Daniel was able to help me out and get me out the door in less than half the day (last minute) with two new tires!! Lets also not forget that the other gentlemen who helped me, Tony, was also super great! Everyone here is great! I love the service and they try to go above and beyond for their customers (if possible). Just an all around great experience and I definitely will be going here from now on. Thank you Daniel and Tony! And thank you to Discount Tire!! I

I took my wifes front tire to discount tire for possible repair of a chronic slow leak... I transported the rim and tire in my truck after removing it from my wifes car.. Nic was my service rep and offered to repair tire for free ... Nic stated it would take an hour . I advised Nic that I would leave and return ... I came back and was advised by Nic that the tire had a hole in it adjacent to an earlier repair patch and was not repairable ... I asked Nic for tire and rim back but he could only returned the rim because he had already disposed of the tire ... It seems that Discount Tire offers to fix flats for free but their sole objective is to sell you a tire .. I might have purchased a tire at that moment, but for the fact that Nic had already disposed of the tire and wouldnt show me the defective tire ... Bought tire from another competitor....
