I went with my mother to trade in her truck for a new vehicle. We were hopeful that we would have a good experience with Kia, but really werent sure what to expect beforehand. The salesman we dealt with Juan was so honest from the first phone call. The price he quoted was the price given when we arrived; the exact vehicle we looked at on the website was the one waiting for us in front of the dealership when we arrived. Ive dealt with other dealerships in the past and really expected to see what I was used to with other companies, which would be high pressure, fake plastered on smiles, and being "talked into" what they wanted to sell me. I was completely unprepared for the Southwest Kia in Rockwall. Juan greeted us at the door, (a true gentleman he opened every door for us the whole time we were there,) and he was genuine. That is such a rare quality and one I wouldnt expect from a car salesman. He LISTENED! He never pushed anything, he advised us of what they had to offer, what options were available, and left the decisions to us! The trade in price on my mother’s truck was well above what we had expected, and that was the first offer. There was no lengthy negotiating. I know this may sound weird but Im from Missouri and until last year my family was a "GM" family. All of our vehicles HAD to be GM. However after many bad experiences we decided to give someone else a try, even though that meant no longer using our GM family discount-that is how fed up we were. Kia was not originally our first choice until we rented a KIA for a trip and found ourselves pleasantly surprised at the smooth ride and quality of the vehicle. I have never dealt with a dealership full of so many NORMAL, NICE, FRIENDLY people. We were offered coffee, given pies for visiting (not sure if that is a Texas thing or what,) and greeted warmly by ALL employees though we were not the only customers there. They took the time to acknowledge us anyway. Juan made us feel like we were buying a vehicle from a family member. He explained everything in clear terms, there was no second guessing, no fast talking, and he made sure we knew everything about our new vehicle before we left the lot! Its so refreshing to know good salesmen and good dealerships still exist. We were once a GM family, but as we told Juan today we are officially converting to a Kia family. If you want to be treated as an individual, not a number and experience how easy car buying can be... I highly suggest you go to Southwest Kia in Rockwall and ask for Juan!

I was referred to this dealership by a friend in hopes of having the same great experience with Kathy as she did previously. However, when we arrived Kathy was busy assisting other customers so she had David take care of us. David is THE MOST friendly and caring sales person Ive ever dealt with. He didnt talk down to me or try to sell me something just in the hopes of getting it off the lot or to put money in his pocket. His mission was clear: to take care of me. He made sure I was well aware of the features and what I was getting out of the vehicles before and during the test drives of the two cars I was interested in. David was courteous, funny and very easy to communicate with. Upon arriving to the dealership the biggest set back was seeing the extremely low inventory. It was apparently this way at all of the Southwest locations in the area due to a recent sale. David didnt try just getting me into any car because of the low inventory...he let me know it was ok to wait till more options became available and for that I knew hed be great to do business with. I had decided on a car that I knew probably wasnt within my reach but he still tried to accommodate what I wanted but to no avail. We did however manage to walk away with a 2012 Kia Soul, but not before stumbling upon some pricing issues. I walked in to the dealership with a specific payment in mind and left paying $150 more than that. I know the backbone of a business is held in place by revenue, however, I also know that what I was willing to compromise during negotiation was very do-able. This remains an issue to me but I know I didnt HAVE to sign for it. I believe David couldve helped us a little more in that area. I will definitely recommend this dealership AND David to anyone I know looking to purchase a new or used vehicle as well as I will also remain dedicated to do business with him in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Kind of baffled by the good reviews on this dealership, given my experience here. My husband and I found a car online we were interested in at this dealership. We called ahead, asked questions, and came to the dealership to check it out. We are not first time car buyers. We were surprised that even though according to the Carfax report the car had been at the dealership 2 months, our salesperson knew relatively nothing about the car. We test drove the car twice, google info about options, features, etc., played around with the car and decided we wanted to purchase it. When we sat down to negotiate, our salesperson immediately added $2,000 to the advertised price to cover "dealer costs." When I asked about the ethics of falsely advertising a price and then acting like shed do me a favor to see if she could get the mark up removed, she literally said, "It got you in the door, didnt it?" Ive got to give it to her for being honest. We negotiated further and I ended up at a purchasing price I could live with, and I purchased the car. Included with the car purchase was 1 year of free maintenance and a new back windshield wiper. (The tattered windshield wiper shouldve been my first clue- since theyd had 2 months to make sure the car was in top shape for sale at the dealership.) Our salesperson said she would call us the next day to let us know when we could come in to get the wiper blade replaced. This never happened. Jump forward to the first oil change. I scheduled an appointment and was still at the dealership for over TWO HOURS waiting on a simple oil change and to get the back wiper blade replaced. All the way around horrible customer service. Extremely disappointed, and we wont be back to purchase a car OR for service.

Under new ownership...making good changes from what I can tell so far. My husband took his car in for an oil change. In the process...they told him he needed new windshield wipers. They never explained pricing for this service, so he just figured he would be charged the cost of the wipers. When he got home he got to looking at the receipt as he thought he paid quit a bit for the visit and noticed he had been charged $19.99 for labor and the wipers themselves cost less than the labor. I was NOT happy. I called the service department that same day and they said everyone had gone home for the night. I called back Monday morning and spoke with the gentleman who had checked him out. He tried to give me the run around, explained that was the menu price. I told him it was unacceptable, no matter what the menu price was, especially when he could have gone to Auto Zone and had them put on for free. He kept going around and around with me, said hed talk to the manager, and by Thursday I still hadnt heard from him. So I went to the dealership. I was able to speak to another gentleman, who showed sympathy, explained that it was the menu price but due to new ownership they were working on making changes(this being on of them). He spoke to the manager, the agreed to refund me the labor charge or give me a free oil change on the next visit. I would recommend this dealership simply by the way they handle the situation when I came in. I am willing to give them another change, and should they redeem themselves in the future, I will continue to have our Kia serviced there.
