I totally agree with Robin and Shelly - a lot of selection and good price, they are also dong a good job in keeping the place organized etc. But I also have to agree to Kunjal and Ganesh - very rude lady staff (a few out of all) at the check out and also some of the Indian guys there (since there are other country guys working in stocking etc. whom I dont bother much with due to their hard work)....I checked with two Indian guys for an item and was met with very stern behavior even though they went to check for the item. A FEW of the YOUNG ladies up front are very rude and full of drama...it is almost sickening to have to deal with them - its deplorable! I hope the management will take notice and work it out. I like going to the store due to close convenience and the large stock, but there are also other stores which arent too far. Management, please train the ladies up front to be mellow, better service the customer and customer caring instead of creating a lot of drama scene - My rating is solely for the staff behavior and not about the store which I like to give close to 5 stars...when I see changes in the staff behavior, I will update accordingly.

Decent place....slowly sliding downhill...LATEST UPDATE FOR ROTIS =========================================== Update: 8/20/2014 Dont bother buying their roti from the new set up that they have. The people making rotis have no idea as to what a roti/chapatti should look like and 9/10 times they are half baked. When you bring them home and try to bake it on the tava, they dont fluff. They are still messing with their setup...and it will be a few weeks till they get it right...I hope. If not, they are just sitting ducks. Taj or Indo Pak or any other major grocery call set up the same thing and can do a much better job than that. =========================================== The reason for two stars.... Dont buy their specials they have on sale. They sell crap that dont work, like the sprout maker and they dont take it back if its not working. Wtf. And yes their store is very dirty especially near the produce section. I guess the health inspector needs to pay them a visit and write them up. I dont trust them to be fair in their trade.

This is the first sizable Indian grocery store I have patronized. They have many varieties of packaged food brought from India. I dont know most of them but the packages look so culturally intriguing. What struck me was their snack bar, which consists of 20 or so large jars of dry snack (like the candy or cereal jars at American grocery stores). They encourage customers to try the snacks before buying. I did some tasting and found them to be quite flavorful and spicy, very typical of Indian food. It was busy with many Indian-looking customers shopping and also some non-Indian patrons. So it seems to meet the growing demand of the local Indian community and people interested in Indian grocery in general. Families with little children dotted the place. So it could also be said to be a place of passing down part of the native culture to the next generation. They have a bakery on the side, making pancake-like bread through a machine like a tortilla maker.

The other day I have seen a evil lady customer yelling at another customer and the shop owner was totally silent. The problem, the other customer was asked to go to a new line opened which the lady customer did not like. There was no point in poking her nose but she yelled and screamed anyway. She would not have yelled at if it was a white or black customer. We Indians dont like Indians anyway. She even looks like an evil witch too when she was screaming. No customers can appreciate people like this. I dont know either of these customer but I am forced to write this. The shop owner was also patiently listening to her.

They have almost everything an Indian household needs. but most items overpriced.. they desperately need to tidy up and not be as cramped. Most fruits Ive bought here ended up in the garbage since they were rotten. But whatever you do DO NOT BUY anything off the freezer, not sure whats going with Patel on but my whole family was down with food poisoning on 2 different occasions eating their Haldirams frozen sweets.. the last time was on Diwali day! (The Rasamalais milk had gone sour and smelled, we shouldnt have eaten them).. Not the best day to spend in the loo! :(

For some time it was good now it is worst. The quality of the rice, dal and other items came down drastically. The worst this the staffs attitude VERY, VERY, VERY BAD. They treat as if you are thief. I will never shop in Patel brother again and nor I will suggest to any of my friends. They are simple rude and do not know how deal with customers and on top of it they if you do not check your bill they will sure few dollars on your bill, if you do not ask they will charge full on discounted items. Pathetic place to shop Indian Groceries.

Great place, great prices..but they are THE busiest Indian Grocery Supermarket. But, they have great staffing and they move fast. You will find a huge health and beauty selection here. They have boutiques inside the Supermarket and they have THE BEST Indian/Pakistani produce department in all of Dallas/Fort Worth. Looking for something in particular? Chances are you will find it here. FIVE STARS for running a great business Patel Brothers!!

No idea how this place is still open. . . You would have a better chance of picking up fresh vegetables from garbage bins.. . The deccan basmati rice bag was full of live black bugs/insects. . . The onions are almost always wet and greasy . . ; and if you were to buy the 5 or 10 lb bag.. . be ready to be surprised with lots of rotting smell fungus and yeast infested onions . . . Thank god we have India Bazaar. . .!

They need to clean up, get more organized. Should not look like they are moving in goods even during normal business hours. The veggies are good, better than most Indian grocery stores. The eyebrow salon inside - is a total hit or miss, the lady was great with my eyebrows once and when I went back she messed up my eyebrow so badly and it was painful.

The only reason i choose this grocery store is because its close to where i live and sometimes the veggies are fresh. But bad experience with customer service . Have come back home to realise a couple of items are missing but were billed. So need to be extra careful at checkout counter . Veggies are super expensive which is a total rip off

Bad experience.
