I keep trying to like B&N but they dont make it easy. The employees at this location are pretty much worthless. I dont know how many times Ive been here and had employees just walk past me like I dont exist. The checkout experience isnt much better. These are not isolated incidents. Its this bad everytime I come here. Ive never been asked if I needed help. The prices are stupid high. If you want to save money, you havrle to pay for the privilege. They often times dont have what Im looking for. There is no way to help yourself because there are no terminals available to the customers to check stock. That means having to find an employee for assistance. Not an easy task. I will never understand how B&N stayed in business while Borders went out of business. Everytime I set foot inside B&N, Im reminded why I liked Borders so much. They had friendly helpful staff, lower prices and customer accessible terminals to look things up for yourself. They also had a FREE rewards system that actually not only saved you money, but also would accrue points for free purchases. I did my shopping free one time because I had so many points! Gosh I miss Borders!

They seem to have gone out of their way to make browsing as uncomfortable as possible. No comfy sofas, not even tables. Theres a handful of stiff wooden chairs in the window under the blazing sun, I guess as some token gesture of hospitality. When I want a new book but I dont know which one, I go grab an armful and spend a pleasant afternoon skimming through the pile. This store wants you to walk in, grab your book and leave. If I knew which book I wanted, Id buy it online. The opportunity to browse is the only thing that I go to brick and mortar stores for. This was an idiotic business decision.

Perhaps because Plano is slightly more affluent than Dallas, this place is crawling with me-firsters. Its all about them. When youre walking, they insist on stopping and standing in your way. When youre still, they will insist you are in their way and try to make you move. Barnes and Noble has stoked the flames by offering a limited number of chairs, a perfect opportunity for me-firsters to "occupy" B&N. Also, B&N tries to railroad you into buying books by not allowing you to take them into the connecting Starbucks.

Great selection of books, vinyl, Criterion, graphic novels, table top games, and collectibles. Booksellers are helpful and always make great recommendations. Im not sure what some of the complaints on previous reviews are about, the store is well stocked, clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful every time Im there.

This place isnt bad at all, they have a huge amount of books and the employees customer service is amazing. They know alot about books and when I ask for recommendations they steer me into the right road.

Its the typical B&N store. They dont carry a lot of my favorite craft magazines, but they always have items on sale/clearance. The staff is very helpful. They need a bicycle rack for the extra star.

Nice location like all B&N, not much seating throughout the store though. Its nice to get a Starbucks and preview books and flip through a mag but not many chairs. Nice kept store all together though

poor selection for a chain bookstore, have yet to meet a very knowledgeable service person that can answer questions about current prize winning publications or availability/selection

They are friendly and I found what I was looking for. They have a search option online to reserve before you get there. It makes it faster to shop if you are limited on time.

This barnes and noble has very few seats available for customers and a separate starbucks you cant bring books into. I only go here if there is no other choice.
