Our visit on July 13th at 3pm. We brought in two 7 yr. old boys one who have not surfed before and one who has just surfed once. You guys were kind enough to let the one boy try it out before committing to the fee which was a very nice option as part of your customer service. Once we arrived and were given the wrist bands the receptionist had us wait by the windows and did not mention the procedure of going in through the back for the session, that lack of information has caused us to wait at the wrong area and we were only let in after about 7minuts into our session when the instructor noticed we are waiting. Once the boys were in they were a part of 6 boys group. The other 4 boys were much older and experienced. While the older group took several minutes to surf our boys once on the board took only a few seconds before they flew over the edge for lack of experience and then they once again had to wait for a while. All together the boys went on the boards 8 times for up to 5 seconds at a time at best. Midsession I grabbed the attention of one of the sales girls and told her my concern, with much lack of interest she said she will ask the instructor to “help” them stay on for longer. It took her a few more minutes to get to him with that information. And it didn’t help much, the instructor tried to teach them tricks but there is so much they can try in a few seconds on the water with so little time left. Our session ended at 3:32, not compensation for the 7 minutes that we had to wait in the wrong spot. While paying, I expressed my frustration to the receptionist and she chose to just ignore it completely to which I said you not answering me is even worse to which she just replied with exasperation “there is nothing I can do”. I realize it is a group session, and I realize my boys were new to this BUT, how about some basic customer service? Like making sure we get in on time and receive our full 30 min of surfing? How about trying to group same age group of kids? How about if the instructor notices the boys only get a few seconds instead of letting them wait for all 4 kids to go put them in between each 2? Wouldn’t that balance things a little bit? Surely there are other ways to address this issue rather than “there is nothing I can do”. I was very excited to watch the kids surf and they got a kick out of it, but for me to drive all the way from Allen for the amount of time they received is just too frustrating. I hope management takes this as a learning review and try to address the time issue with younger kids and retrain the employees with some basic customer service and proper response to complaints.

I bought my nephew a small drone from their kiosk in Stone Briar mall. It was right at $100.00. 4 days later one of the plastic gears for one of the propellers sheared and it will not fly. I called the store and spoke with Jessica the store manager. And while she was polite, she had no problem telling me that I would have to go directly to the manufacturer for replacement, because there store policy is as is. And they do not carry nor work with their own Kiosks that put their name on the receipt. Buyers beware... This store does not have any type of guarantee that their products are not CRAP.... This drone had less than 2 hrs of fly time before it broke. Im really happy now that I did not buy him the bigger one. And I will NEVER promote any business that does not stand behind their products. Wal-mart at least does exchanges.

Pros: Lots of fun, out-of-the-ordinary activity Friendly/helpful staff Adequate changing facility Cons: Price - $20/person for 30 mins equates to 3-5 times on the board. If youre in a full group it could mean even less. Also, if youre a beginner, try and go with beginners. If you fall after 15 seconds, your turn is over. If you then have to wait for five more experienced riders that stay standing for 2-4 minutes each, your 30 minutes is gone and the value just isnt there. My wife and I had a fun date night here. But we were disappointed with how quickly our session was over compared to our time in the water. When its all said and done, we (being in the 25-35 year old range) were probably not the target market for this activity. Lots of teens and younger. But, it was fun for us to do once. :)

Ive been wanting to try this for a while, but hadnt been able to justify the cost yet. I received 2 free rides for my birthday this month, so we decided to go. A few friends and I rented out the 30-minute window and had an instructor there to help get us going. She was very helpful and offered different suggestions on how to improve. We rotated between the surf boards and the body boards with no problem After 20 minutes I decided to buy the Platinum package so some of us could come back on a regular basis. They had a locker room and changing areas between the shop and the flowrider, so no worries about running through the mall in your swimmers. Its a bit humid, so if youre going to take gopros in there, take them early to let them adjust.

Great place to get some water fun no matter what the weather outside. Water is heated, so will feel comfortable even for those who catch a chill easy. The wave can be ridden from all skill levels, and training aids and staff are there to help if you want to hone your skills for more advanced moves like standing up while surfing. The wave is padded, though you may end up with a bruise or two if you land wrong. This does require more athletic stamina than I anticipated, so I wouldnt attempt right after a visit to the food court next door. The day-time slots are almost always mostly vacant, so there is rarely any waiting to jump on the wave. During the evening times, there may be a short wait between each ride. Overall, highly recommended.

The manager at Aqua Shop is rude and unaccommodating. I tried to take my son and several of his friends to surf using some groupons and it was a comedy of errors from the start. I was unable to use all of the groupons I purchased and they tried to upsell me to buy all kinds of extras and add-ons. The instructor was also rude and more interested in showing off and getting his time in the waves rather than teaching the kids and letting them have the maximum time. I have extra sessions that have been paid for, but will not be going back to use any of them because of the horrible customer service.

The staff at Aquashop are fantastic!! Our son has taken about twelve private lessons, (we started in August 2014), his self esteem and confidence have grown tremendously! The fabulous instructors have helped to build his skills and his strength. Everyone at Aquashop has been gracious and so encouraging. It is a privilege to be around such positive, energetic people who help your child aspire to a higher level! I have had the honor of meeting UCLA Coach Wooden before he passed on and the team at Aquashop are definitely all about the "Journey and the integrity"
