This is one of those places you go to when you know exactly what it is you are looking for, and dont have any desire to interact with any human being other than the checkout cashier ("No, I dont have a Rewards card. No I dont want one. Thank you.") Its good for buying basic staples. The computer sales people are laughably ignorant and unqualified to be doing their jobs. The geek squad are a bunch of smug, barely competent criminals who practically extort you for services when you drop off hardware, and try to use high-pressure doom-and-gloom sales tactics to add on overpriced services for higher priced items. The home theater section is barely staffed, and at times youll be standing at the service desk like a moron for >5 minutes, before giving up and checking online. If you are wondering why so many people are shopping online nowadays, look no further than this Best Buy for a look why.

Pro: If you are looking to price match against Amazon with something you know they have in the store its a good quick fix. Con: Customer service on all fronts is pretty terrible. On the phone side of things, if youre trying to call ahead to ask questions, dont bother because no will answer the phone. The automated system will make sure of that. If you are able to get through, it can take well over 20 minutes with the hold times, you might as well drive. On the otherhand, in store customer service isnt much better. Went in on a week day after lunch looking for a particular item and not a single one asked me if I needed help because they were too busy talking amongst themselves. There were more reps on the sales floor than customers that day. This has been a trend in this store. Hoping it changes in the future.

Tonight, I stop by the Mesquite Best Buy #54. I talked with a GM. I believe her name was Beth, very nice lady. I had a problem with a price on a car stereo that I bought just after Christmas. I explained my problem and was just looking for options but Beth blew me away and took care of the price, that was amazing. I could not believe how nice she was and truly listened to my problem and found a get solution. I really thought that customer service was dead but not at this Best Buy. She really cared for me as a customer. Thank you so much. That experience will stay with me for a very long time. Whenever I am considering purchasing electronics in the future... I will always think of giving my business to this Best Buy first. Thank you once again.

Employees have an overall terrible attitude. Non existent checkout staff. Internet order would rather flirt with security than find out why my order isnt at the front. Internet orders are often incomplete or not even done when you get there despite confirmation emails. Employees have no common sense. I waited 30 min for my order bc the stock boy thought it would be easier for him to pick up items for 10 other orders rather than just bringing mine up to the counter in a timely manner and go back to finish the remains orders. Return counter talks to you like youre a criminal when you try to return something all with a scowl on their faces and anger in their voices. I drive out of my way specifically to avoid this location whenever possible.

Do not take your computer to Geek Squad. I took mine because it was crashing all the time. They replaced the mother board and hard drive and my computer still did the same thing. They kept it for over a month to do the repairs that didnt work. I took it back again, and the same thing happened. They said they were only responsible for the work not the NEW parts. If the parts are bad and since theyre NEW and under WARRANTY then why didnt they just put another NEW mother board and hard drive in. All I know is they were not helpful at fixing the problem and wanted more money to replace the already new parts that didnt work the first time.

I was refused a return because the package was open. Someone please explain to me, how when you purchase something, take it home, open it and try it AND IT DOES NOT WORK, you cant return it???? The customer service of this location is atrocious. Ive never seen someone, who just looked like she hated what she was doing. Youve got to be on top of your game if you dont want bad reviews. Long days suck, but you got to tough it out. Not because of the service (well maybe partly), but because of the down right weird policies and lack of selection of just about everything, I will not be back to this location of Best Buy.

I purchased a new phone two months ago with best buys protection plan. Since the first day i had this new phone its had problems, I purchased this phone because I have to use email for work, since my phone has connection errors I miss a lot of important business related emails. The sales representatives in the cell phone department have given me a different story every time about solving these problems. They wont stand behind theyre product or protection plan. You would think that when spending hundreds of dollars with a company that they would want to take care of their customers

Well I went to other best buy stores looking for a galaxy 6+ edge. They called this store and said they had it and would hold it for me. Say after all day of driving all over Dallas looking for it and 3+ hrs at the store just to get it activated they sold me the 64 GB without me realizing it. Now since its past the 14 day period they wont let me return it. I am so disappointed with the service. They cant even sell me the phone they told me they would hold for me. Make sure you get what you want because they cant be trusted to do there jobs correctly.

I got an Xbox there last night from a dude who was super nice and helpfull. What was so impressive is he remembered me from when I had purchased a Christmas present from him back in early December. He answered my questions about the different xboxs and tracked down a copy of the game I wanted. He rang me out shook my hand called me by my name and looked me in the eyes and said thank you. That was the first time a sells person has thanked me even when I got my car the dude acted like he was doing me a favor. This kid just wone best buy a loyal fan!

Went in looking for a laptop. The first visit was decent and the associate was able to provide competent information on a couple of good laptops. When I returned with my final decision, they were much busier so I had to wait for someone to come over. It would have been nice to have been acknowledged or if help was requested from management. An HP representative had to come over and ask if I needed help. When I said that I wanted to purchase a particular laptop, he was able to grab an associate to help.

Worst Best Buy Ive ever been to. Couldnt get assistance. When someone finally helped, they told us the computer was in rockwall only and that wed have to pay for $99 geek squad work up because it was already done. Wed waited 45+ minutes to get computer before being told that. When I asked to speak to a manager (the person who initially didnt tell us about the $99 geek squad thing), she reused to come speak with me about it. I will never shop at this location and am reporting them to corporate.
