I just got back from a horrible experience here. First off, I LOVE this thrift store. Its clean, organized, and almost all the staff here are so friendly. Its not the cheapest, but I go here because the environment is better then most thrift stores. Today, I went and was quietly browsing the aisles. There were some kids that were playing with toys in the aisles, which was distracting, but it didnt bother me too much. Im usually pretty annoyed by kids running around, but I understand its a thrift store, and they werent being too loud or bothering anyone. All of a sudden, when I turn the corner a tall caucasian women (found out her name is Robin) yells at me from about 5 feet away and asks "are these your kids?". I was so caught off guard, I just smiled and kind of chuckled and said "no". I expected her to apologize, or at least smile back. Instead, she angrily turns to the next hispanic women and with an angry face YELLS "are these your kids". She kept yelling at every female hispanic customer. When I say yell...I mean YELL. Her voice was raised, and she had the most condescending and angry expression possible. Now, I understand the reasoning for wanting the parents to make the kids behave. However, the way she was handling this was not effective nor the proper way to treat PAYING customers. I dont appreciate being HARASSED while Im shopping quietly by myself. I didnt appreciate being yelled at either. Especially since I AM THE ONE who is being inconvenienced with the annoyance of the loose kids. She should have apologized to me for the fact I had to deal with it, instead of treating me like a second hand citizen. THEY WERE NOT MY KIDS. Not sure why she assumed they were. The funny part is, her approach didnt even work. She kept asking the kids to go to their parents, and they just kept running around. The mom told them to stay by her once, but they just continued to run around. Again, I totally understand the reasoning. But yelling is not helping the situation. In fact, it seemed to escalate the situation as the children started to run from her, and further away from their mom. The more she yelled, the more they ran. There are much more effective ways to deal with this. Make an announcement telling parents if they dont watch their children they will be asked to leave. Put signs up saying the same. Have a security guard to watch who comes in and have them escort out parents who dont supervise their children. The whole point is to make the place more enjoyable for customers, not worse. Essentially, this is private property, so they can escort anyone they want out. Just make sure you do your research on who the kids belong to before making an ignorant scene. I dont think I will be back. Which is really sad because I love this store. But if you cant train employees on how to deal with these situations properly I will not return. And to Robin, you sounded really condescending when you were yelling. Honey, your WORKING at a thrift store, and we are the PAYING customer... you are not above anyone. I am a medical professional who thrifts for fun. Next time, dont assume things about people just because your ignorant. Learn to treat EVERYONE with respect.

This store is better and prices are much better and reasonable compared to the Goodwill. The selection is much larger and very well organized. Every day of the week they have a discount. Only thing messy about this location is the toy section. Parents leave their kids unattended to do their shopping and their kids make a mess. Although I can say the mess is way less compared to other thrift stores and places such as Ross. I do like how if an employee sees kids unattended they will go on intercom and make it known to the parent hey come get your child basically. Will come back to this location for other things for certain.

I love this place!!! everything is such an awesome price and the store is so clean and well kept unlike other stores. It only looks messy on hectic days like Monday or when everything is half off but that is because the other customers are savage. Sometimes parents let their kids play with toys everywhere but the staff tries to make sure their kids stay with them, which I love!! All in all I love this store!!! Keep up the good work Texas Thrift!!!

Texas Thrift store is a Good store for gently used items staff is polite and helpful this store is not like other resale stores Clean full of fragrances very methodical prices and discount tags are visible store associates busy all the time cleaning and placing scattered items putting them where they belongs in general nice place to spend good quality time

Great store. Clean and organized. Each day one color tag is 50% off and another color is 30% off. The fitting rooms are very clean. The clothes are organized by size AND color. Prices are reasonable and there is something for every member of the family. Quality clothes for good prices.
